Moring all.
Decided to get to the airport a little early so that we can sit in the lounge and sip some wine before this afternoons departure.

Good morning everyone.
Damn! Put in R1000 electricity and only get back 225KWh.
Dude that is odd, we did R2k, and got 643 I think.
Also morning all
Filling broke last night, anxiety kept me up all night
When did you load it? New tariff month kicked in on 1 September. Unless you already exhausted your lower tariff units for the month? I loaded R1000 on Friday and got around 320 units.
Loaded it this morning.
Also, it’s so brown here in JHB.
We haven’t had rain for a long time.
Yup. Gauteng aint pretty. No offence to those still living there, but I end up with a bleeding and stuffed nose and burning throat each time I visit there. I’ve been there twice since the winter started for 3 days or more and both times the symptoms started hours after landing and disappeared moments after disembarking at CT.
Stage 6, yikes! My inverter is going to be working overtime tomorrow.
Morning all
Morning, ya bunch of filthy humans!
Morning all. Horrible traffic today.
So irritating. And the times in between the sessions aren’t enough to let the batteries recharge These chops!
Feel the same way, I have to use a generator to charge my portable inverter during the 4 hours.
Has anyone ever bought book bundles from humblebundle? There is this Steven Erikson bundle
I’m sort of considering trying it. Have read Gardens of the Moon 3 - 4 times on paperback. Just have never read on the phone. What is it like? Also what do you use to read on the phone?
I have bought ebooks from Humble in the past, but not for a while now. Had to go double checked to confirm that I remember correctly… They give you access to the files in a number of different formats.
I had (have) the Kindle app on my old iPad that I used with the MOBI files (it so old, I think Amazon has since moved away from MOBI files to AZW files?) On the phone I just used the PDF files with the Apple Books app or good old Adobe PDF reader. And I’m pretty sure EPUB files are the open standard and can be read natively on Android devices.
My nose is burning like mal.
Even for us locals it’s tough. It’s particularly bad at the moment. Like @czc said, we haven’t had any rain for months - the Great Jozi Snow Day of '23 in early July was the last time there was any real moisture in the air. The last ten days it seems that every tree and bush that can has burst in blossom simultaneously. My hay fever has exploded, and I haven’t stopped sneezing and sniveling since the weekend.
Just as I mentioned - us Capies are too soft for the polluted Gauteng air.
Morning all. Happy Humpday!
