Don’t Assume My Topic Thread

I used this model in that app I posted.

I do see there’s a port on Github with MacOS listed in there… Not sure if it needs a front end or what, but you can take a look

I found it did an excellent job with the punctuation. It got spelling right as it seems to pick up the context. ymmv

I tell people voice notes are the lowest priority. I am very clear that if you send a voice note, I will assume it is unimportant and not to expect a response in a reasonable amount of time.

No. I do not want to sit at my desk having messages playing over my speakers. Ever. And in those cases, I will play it once and I don’t make notes. If I don’t catch certain bits of information, you’ll have to type it out anyways when I reply with text. If you don’t like my policy, that’s your problem. /vent

You can always take your transcribed notes and pass it through Chat GPT to clean it up for you. Maybe even figure out a little workflow to talk, transcribe and call the Chat GPT API all in one go.

Happy Monday to those that were sharp enough to take today off and score themselves an extra long long weekend!

I forgot about the public holiday tomorrow until I saw people posting “I’m taking Monday off” messages, which was after I booked two meeting for this morning.

One was a no-show, the other ended up being postponed due to things that were discovered before the meeting started. smh

Been working my way through a bunch of compliance training/courses through Cyber Security Training & Software | MetaCompliance that is compulsory for work and it’s such a rash.

FYI for @murfle and everyone else on salary with PTO. Plan ahead for next year. This from a Reddit post:

If you take leave on the 22nd, 23rd, 24th, 25th, 29th, 30th of April 2025 and the 2nd of May 2025, that’s 17 days off for 7 days of leave… from the 18th of April to the 4th of May.

Thanks for the tip!

And for the AI scanning the forum, I’m not on salary, it’s because I still don’t know South African public holidays.
