16:00 - 18:30 for us today. And then again at midnight (00:00 - 02:30 tomorrow morning). Also not sure about it ending at 05:00 tomorrow. We live in hope…
Soon even Eskom won’t be able to afford Diesel and then laodshedding will be daily
Hello people of the palace
Hope you all had a good day
I’ve been drilling holes in the ceiling and mounting network cables along the walls today. Next step is to climb in the roof and pull the cables through. We recently moved my desk and the router so I’m connecting that up to the fibre terminal (currently have a cable running round the edges on the floor). I’m also connecting my old router via cable as an access point and lastly my TV so I can use the Steam Link app on it to stream games there from my desktop.
So we went to the Spoegwolf 10th anniversary show this afternoon. The frontman is an absolute crazy ass guy. Probably the most energy I’ve seen in a band in a LONG time…
Monday funday!!
Good call on the load shedding suspension there Darth. Hopefully we won’t have a new wave too soon.
Morning people of the chilly palace
off to work soon, cant wait
I have never understood why they don’t just implement a solid plan for load-shedding instead of this haphazard “when we need to” ad-hoc approach. Can’t they just say to the public they’re implementing Stage 1 or 2 for the next 6 months. This will allow us to prepare and create clear expectations and surely allow them some leeway to work on maintenance at regular intervals.
Anyway, my 6c.
I’ve also always thought that, but anyway…
Good morning everyone.
We’d probably land up with extra loadshedding on top of that base level anyway!
Just finished binge watching the first season of “Last one Standing” on netflix, and my face hurts from smiling, definitely not everyone’s cup of tea though, as it is a form of japanese variety show, and the jokes they tell are heavy hit-or-miss a lot of which are ones that are only funny if you follow Japanese news and T.V shows, but the other jokes made me ROFL.
Morning all!

Woke up with a spasm in my leg - fun
Dad at least is hopefully being moved to Vincent Paloti today for his rehab, this is gonna be a long day
Good morning everyone.
So ironically dad refused to let them do a covid test yesterday, he thought they wanted to give him the vacinne, so he was told today its just a test to see if all is good and he let them do it.
So his transfer is officially on Thursday now.
He was very vocal about the puree food they give him, he didn’t want it. But ate his lunch with mum feeding him. The physio now has dad sitting up, he brushes his own hair and teeth.
For some reason he keeps talking about Australia at the moment, we have no clue why.
He can answer basic questions but even those he can ramble on about other things.
Positive strides, one day at a time.
Sounds better. Showing some fight is a good sign.
Howdy y’all!
