Do you ever write a long-winded email or documentation only to get to the end and then wonder, “no one is going to read this or appreciate it”
Yeah… I’m at that point. It will likely just sit in my notes or drafts forever. But I do tell myself, who cares if no one reads it, the important thing is that I did it and sent it. The responsibility then is in their hands.

Yup, no load shedding for the day!
Had a great morning. We had a meetup with the parents of 4 of our boy’s school friends. They played until they started collapsing from exhaustion, while the parents could chat and build relationships. Now he’s out on the couch while I fire up the braai.
One of the dads is a ghost writer for athletes’ autobiographies, as well as a comment writer for Supersport. Very interesting fellow!

That sounds like a great day.
Ours was good as well, we had a good visit with dad, he was more awake, aware and was talking to us, some jumbled words, some times making no sense, but then he would tell a story due to a comment one of us makes and he would be able to tell it, even if it had nothing to do about what we were discussing, somehow, if you listen carefully, it actually relates 80% of the time.
So we got his humour, had smiles, irritation when we gave him his food, we went to fast but he ate all his pureed stuff, and could tell that he was eating fish and not chicken!
These good days, are what I carry with me, I know deep down he is still there, and that is what matters to me. Even if I get 2 weeks of nothing, I get 1 good day and it makes me so happy. We are taking things slow, day by day and we know there will be good days and bad ones. Hopefully in the next month or two we start getting more good day than bad.
