I live about 70km North of PMB, the temp here is on average +7 degrees when its hot and -7 degrees when it is cold compared to PMB and the storms, oh man, PMB is sleepy hollow compared. A few years ago we had a tornado make a lovely highway through the sappi pine forest and through the town.

Good morning, everyone!
I’ve decided to make an effort to be more present here. I may still be a little quiet, but I promise to check in and say hi at least twice a week.
Life has been a whirlwind—balancing work, a new relationship, some unexpected drama, and, of course, the challenges of Dad’s last year. It became overwhelming, and even something as simple as being active here felt like too much. But I’ve missed you all dearly. You are my family—my real family.
I’m realizing now how much I need this space to help me cope with the grief, the anger, and everything else that comes with it. Being here feels like a step toward healing.
On a brighter note, work has been my saving grace. Huge thanks to @Ani for getting my foot in the door! I honestly don’t know how I would have coped without it. It may sound strange, but the job has grounded me. I’ve taken on so many responsibilities, grown a lot, and discovered that I truly thrive there.
Even though I haven’t been around much, you’ve all been in my heart and thoughts. Now, I’m learning to embrace this “new normal” of a full life—not one tied to endless visits to hospitals and care facilities.
The funniest part? I have weekends again, and I have no idea what to do with them! It’s probably the thing I’m struggling with most. What do people even do on weekends?

I think the universe meant for you to be there. I was just there for a random event and they said they needed awesome people and I know an awesome people who had exactly the skills they needed, and I was so excited for you to finally have a job at a place where they take care of their people and appreciate them. I’m still so happy for you, and for them to have you. I’m glad it’s been such a solid experience for you. You deserve good things!
Weekends: I predict long drives and adventures with the doggos and Neil! I foresee long naps and baking SydSnax and crochet and gaming. Do whatever you want, that’s the great thing about free time is that it’s yours!
