You can freeze it!

Mmm that is a plan! How do you unfreeze it? Just MW it?

Seriously though, pancake batter lasts up to 6 months in the (deep) freezer. Put it into bottles, like 2L or 1L bottles and pop them in the deep freeze. Or regular freezer for up to 3 months. You can defrost overnight in the fridge or pop it in the sink in lukewarm water to defrost.

No no, no MW. That will cook it in the container. Rather do it slowly. In the sink, surrounded by lukewarm water (hot water works faster but also allows for rapid bacterial growth so better to do it with cooler lukewarm water)

I guess microwaves have defrost functions which are low power slow defrosting too… So maybe MW. I very rarely use the microwave to defrost things. So maybe.

I’m being super helpful, I know :joy:

Absolutely, thanks!

I tend not to trust MW’s to have an actual lower power phase. Most of them use a slower duty cycle to average out lower power delivery for different power settings under normal loads (ie. not defrosting), so I would guess it’s a similar process for defrosting.

Cooked corners of “defrosted” chicken supports this hypothesis.

Oh hai people of the palace

I hate organising an office move. . .

Hey everyone.

If you sit in meetings all day how are you supposed to get anything done?

Also you can avoid all microwave issues by not having one.

I suspect I’d then not have a wife, either. And I quite like her!

Agreed, which is why I defrost in MW for a bit then warm water for the rest. Otherwise it takes way too long just with the water.

Morning people of the palace

and yay they need to check the engine mounting and the one CV is leaking oil

Could just be your CV boots not the actual joint.

You know when you have that feeling that you just need to sigh (or decompress), yeah, I am doing that frequently/constantly. Like a heaviness on my chest.

Get Sedativ PC or Relicam - you are sitting under way to much anxiety/stress

It was just a leaky CV boot, so they are just regreasing and reclamping it. The fun is the engine mount at R3k.

If grease/oil can leak out, dust can leak in. Dust+lubrication = grinding paste, which destroys moving parts quickly. Keep a close eye on that leak to make sure that there’s no more lubrication coming out.
