It really isn’t that bad. Between that and Wimpy, we don’t get out to many other restaurants. And it’s mostly with friends in tow as well. It helps us to have some adulting time while the kids burn off energy together. Raising a single child really is a challenge…

Of course, and don’t get me wrong, I am by no means complaining. This is our life, and we chose it. We just literally have no support structure here in CPT, so the wife and I never really have opportunities for time alone together.

I safely arrived in Cape Town last night. Been working for 7 days straight, so I am knackered. Fortunately I get to take today off. I slept until 11:00. It was glorious. Gotta make a plan to go see @Wyvern sometime in the next 8 days. I have Bloemfontein Bester Butchery Biltong for her

Even though winter is freezing cold here, I can dress for it and get warm. I can’t take all my clothes off and even if I did, it would not help unless I sprayed myself with water and stood in front of a fan all day.
Thanks to Eskelm, putting on the aircon to get respite costs a LOT of money.

haha this has also been my argument for years. It’s one thing I do not miss since leaving KZN. But you’re a little more in-land aren’t you, closer to Newcastle or Howick, how is your humidity levels?

As of hopefully tomorrow afternoon I will be working from home for the most part.
Since the office has been packed up and whiteboxed, we are awaiting our COC tomorrow and hopefully someone to service the fire extinguisher as well.
Then if all goes well we move to our new office in June - gotta love the small wins aka observatory instead of the CBD
As you can see we are walking distance to AWS so bonus!

Think I had a good second interview with the VP of Product, I think the next interview will be an assessment. Holding thumbs or finger crossed or rub the rabits foot, etc.
