Hate driving in Joburg during load shedding. Intersections turn into complete cluster mucks because 90% of people on the roads are tired, frustrated, and just plain gatvol. The other 10% are just inconsiderate assholes.

Agreed. They’ll make it a daily, 17:00 - 05:00 and then if they can’t cope (they probably won’t) it will get full on for a few days again.

Meetings, after-meetings, slack huddles, stand ups, sprint sessions. I HATE agile. It has become a corporate washing basket of smelly socks that business stakeholders constantly dip into to give themselves the illusion of control over the software development process.
Not useful at all but re-assuring to the whip crackers who look upon the labouring crowds of arcane software-mage-slaves with both disdain and deeply entrenched inadequacy driven fear.

Spent the morning in the boardroom. We’re going through a preferable vendor application for a mine. My boss is bonkers. He thinks we have documentation that we don’t have. ISO9001 oh yes we do that. They say they want a certificate boss. Oh, ok, mark it as no.
