Sad news for the #46 Rossi/vdLinde/AlArthy BMW which Kelvin retired in the early hours with an unspecified technical issue.
Brother Sheldon, in the #15 BMW Hypercar are still running though. Currently in P8, with 5h30m still to run.
Having driven this in a sim - it’s insane how fast these guys fly around the track in real life. The bravery going through some of the high speed sections. Awesome stuff!

The car or the track?
I love The Green Hell. It’s really one of those things I regret not seeing when I was in Germany.

Final standings after the track dried up. Max is 3rd, had some bad traffic in sector 3, which is par for the course on the Nordschleife. So not bad, gonna be an interesting race up front. 4 hours is a long time. To finish first, first you have to finish, and all that…
No mean feat sticking within a few seconds of the top two, despite the traffic. He is still 7 seconds clear of P4. And now he’s giving his Qualifying interview in flawless German…
Say what you want about the man, he is an insanely multi-talented driver and person.
Oh, and can I just point out that he is in a Ferrari! Technically, it’s a Red Bull Ferrari ![]()
I’m not a fan of him personally, but this I can agree with.
Climb aboard for a lap of the Nordschleife!
In this “Runde zum Sonntag” we sit on board with Max Verstappen, Team EMIL FREY RACING #31, in his Ferrari 296 GT3 !

Max Verstappen and team-mate Chris Lulham secured a stunning victory at the wheel of their Ferrari 296 GT3 machine at the Nurburgring.
After qualifying third in a misty and rainy qualifying, Verstappen started the #31 machine for the four-hour race around the ‘Green Hell’ - and immediately earned the lead.
Taking the rolling start, the F1 world champion roared into a lead he would never lose, gradually extending his advantage over the #6 Ford Mustang, whose crew included 'ring ringer Frank Stippler.
Verstappen stayed on-board the #31 for two hours, taking the first two stints, before handing over to Verstappen.com Racing team-mate Lulham for the final couple of hours.
Verstappen’s lead had ballooned to 1m:10 before he handed over to Lulham, who lost some time in his stint through a variety of yellow flag and slow zones.
In the end, the 28-lap race was won by the Verstappen-Lulham entry by over 20 seconds, as Verstappen won on his GT3 debut.
