Awwww yisssā¦ my download is done alsoā¦(already sneaked in the first parts of the game during my coffee break) kamanā¦ work needs to end. Loadshedding at 4pm but I have to make super anyways. Will just start earlier.

I think the fact that Iām on Windows 11 compounds the problem. When I search for FH 5 in the Microsoft Store the only button is āInstall from Xbox Appā
At least all the other games Iāve downloaded from Game Pass have been perfectly fine - including the 80+GB for Age IV. Itās just Forza. I actually had a similar problem with FH 4 when I uninstalled that - it āuninstalledā but still took up space on the hard drive which I had to access and delete.
Anyway, with load shedding dropping down a stage I should be able to find a 5h-6h gap to do a full download

And this takes you back to the xbox app? Coz mine just said install, and once i clicked on Install it showed my existing 40GB that I downloaded and just continued from there.
The rating for the game on the Microsoft Store has steadily been declining.
So at least Iām not the only oneā¦ um yay?

I once spent a whole weekend trying to get three stars on one of the drift missions in FH4, then I finally followed the tip that said to disable traction control.

You can still follow someone and not be friends, while having followers yourself.

Is it only me that plays in solo mode?
Come to think of it, I donāt think I have ever played any multiplayer aspects of a Forza Horizon title. Am I missing out?
Also, does anyone understand this screen?
Will this be the equivalent to FH4 seasons thingie? I have one point, how did I get that and how do I get more?

The way Iāve understood it, each Season (that lasts for 3 or 4 days I think) has a couple of reward cars available to earn. This Spring season, to win the Alpine you need 16 season points and to get the Honda another 10 on top of that. To complete the Season (and get an accolade or achievement maybe? Not sure about that) you need a total of 38 Season Points.
You earn Season Points by completing Daily and Weekly challenges, and other challenges further to the right of your screen. Completing Weekly and Daily challenges give you 2 types of points - Season Points on the bottom left (used toward Season Progress) and Forzathon Points (the FP amount on the bottom right) for use in the Forzathon Shop.
Daily Challenges often are completed just by driving around which is probably where you got that 1 Season Point - you have 1/7 challenges completed. I think if you scroll all the way down the Daily Challenges list it might show at the bottom what it was for.
Personally, I think this weekās Weekly Challenge is dumb. You get the first of nine Chapters just by owning the car. But the 2nd requires you to get 9 stars in Drift Zones, and they are only unlocked after you complete a lot (most?) of the in-game Expeditions. And even if I was able to unlock Drift Zones in time, I too am absolutely crap at drifting (even with @MetalSoupās "turn off traction control).
As for only playing Soloā¦ there are a number of things that youāre missing out on sure. For one, you wonāt be able to join other MEWbs in Convoys and team races. And you wonāt be able to do Forzathon Arcade Events where you group up (hopefully - the one I tried had no one else arrive in time) with other players to complete a set of three tasks and can earn a bunch of Forzathon Points.

So I started the game last night and I love it. Itās very relaxing. Itās pretty much Forza Horizon, just better than 4.
I keep getting an alert that Iām disconnected. My internet is perfectly fine so I donāt know whatās up with that. I did see more people complain about it at the XBox South Africa Facebook group.
And I bought my car! The RS version and it looks just about exactly the same inside as mine. Love it.
