It’s a good practice, I try do the same. Problem doing it later is that you end up with partially discovered roads from events and races and trying to spot them later becomes a nightmare.
I’ve had a few games of Eliminator so far that I WISH I’d recorded.
One time I was running from the closing circle in a Panamera, bouncing through the countryside going 180 with the circle not even a car length behind me the whole way.
I’ve won/lost a few head-to-heads by a few car lengths.
The last time I played, on the final dash across the map, all 15 or so remaining cars were forced through a chokepoint because of canyons and rivers. It literally looked like a movie with super buggies, 4x4’s, SUV’s all sliding into view, jumping from plateaus, all joining the fray.
Honestly you could have told me it was scripted and I’d have been none the wiser.
When it works… it’s epic.

I’ve come to hate the rocky knolls that dot the desert landscape (in Eliminator). Had one funny moment dicing a guy and we both went full speed off ridge only to go flying into one of those rock clusters. I got stuck and figured that was it for me, but the other guy got stuck too and I was able to extricate my car before he did and eliminate him.

Don’t forget the one where I was watching you(because I was downloading a driver to fix my stutter issue). where you actually got up to a level 9 car and just beat this one dude but you went out of bounds coz the end of the race was at the edge lol. GG NO RE.
BTW, my stutter issue was caused by VSync being on lol. I still have some microstutters but it’s not as intense anymore.

Has anyone experienced problems with getting convoys working?
Casual exploring in convoys seem broken. Friends drop in and out of my session, appearing and disappearing from my game. The convoy list on the top right then shows a spinning wheel as their status.
When the convoy leader joins a race we both get stuck waiting for a session for a while.
The biggest gripe is while the convoy leader is looking for the next race, or driving to a location, the rest of us end up doing donuts. We cannot see his gps line or impromptu race to the destination.
And my gosh, I need the stability of online!!! That disconnected error prompts you to push X, which is also the same button as enter race. So I cannot ignore it if I want to do any races!!!
But the game still plays SOOOOO well from the driving point of view. I keep chasing down @SlinX in the speedtraps. Nothing catches my Lambo Centenario in a straight line. 441km/h!!!

yeeeep convoys are broken, happens constantly with us, also no group waypoint setting really sucks.
Everyone should use the speed trap at the main Horizon zone (pink “H”) to set their best time

Super broken here too, but I’m watching Jardier on twitch and he is currently running a 10 man convoy with only a few dropouts here and there. When myself and @Dragonic tried, it was barely working at the best of times.
My weird oddity is having to let the game through the firewall every time I start.

Yeah, me too. I have been removing it from the FW to make sure it gets added properly, then realised it asks me for permission every time, even when it already exists.

There is a bug where electric cars keep building horsepower when in 2nd gear while handbrake is on. So you rev up the power for a few minutes and have thousands of horsepower when you let it go! Porsche Taycan works apparently.
I am finding my favourite class to be the A class. I just love it, not too fast and not too slow. Just enough power for everything while maintaining maximum enjoyment.

Nice! And yeah, by all means, please feel free to share build and tune settings. I don’t necessarily go that hardcore into that aspect in a Horizon game but on the odd car I might invest more time into.

Damn what a buggy session this was, first i did the eliminator for the daily challenge, I spawned near a lvl 5 car, though “cool let’s race some people” in the entire circle up until the last one, it was me and 4 other people who couldn’t challenge each other, and no one else, even though the game stated there were like 30 people left in the very last circle then when the last race came up, i got eliminated in 11 place by someone who was not there, since I only needed to participate i didn’t really care too much, so onto the next thing i went.
I then started doing one of the story lines, got to a mission where i needed to beat a speed camera, but no matter how fast I go the speed camera does not trigger, i.e the mission doesn’t end, so i just quit the game then, will try again tomorrow, see if fixes it. Eish man, bugs like that is what makes a man not want to play a game anymore, I don’t care about online stuff but at least let me play solo undisturbed. Hope they fix the game when it comes out of Early Access

In the Forza Playlist there’s the Nissan GTR thing that you can do for 5 points. The game kept losing my progress for that. Had to do it 3 times before it stuck which was frustrating.
Had a lot of fun in multiplayer last night. It worked so well for me yesterday. No issues at all. Laughed so hard at all the chaos.

Bought a FormulaD car so I can do the Hillside Drift zone for the Playlist… sheeeesh… those things are monster! Went with Matt Field’s previous car, his 240sx.

hahaha yeah, I got me a few of those Formula Drift jammies from Wheel Spins. Tried to use one during an Arcade event and dayum son those cabbies throw it out. They’re low geared but the torque is in.sane.
