Beautiful game. Did the first mission with my controller. Will try the next mission with my KB & mouse, this doesn’t really feel like a controller game.

No FPS is a controller game :stuck_out_tongue:

Destiny started off as a console exclusive, so it actually playes very well with a controller. On PC I won’t recommend it hough, as the game feels much faster and frantic than on console. I’ve started Destiny 2 on PS4 as well and there’s a marked difference in the pacing and difficulty…

Downloading on my lovely 4Mb line. It’s going to take a while.

I’ve only played about half an hour or so so far. Hopefully I’ll get some game time this week.

I’ll easily exceed 10-15 hours of gameplay for the month, seeing as I’m first working through The Forsaken’s story before tackling my other character again. I love the slightly darker story, atmosphere and new enemies and being able to go back to The Reef from Destiny 1. Only thing I DISLIKE is having to ditch all my awesome Legendary and Exotic gear and reverting back to Rares for the most part.

Okay, so I finally got my game up and running !

I got as far as creating a new character. RDR2 stole the little gaming time I had this weekend

How many times do we have to kick the ball for an achievement??

1 majillion. It’s a game of soccer for preferably 4 players. Goalie + kicker. You’ll see the nets on both ends of the field.

I managed to convince my usual crowd to give Destiny 2 a try, thanks to the base game being free on PC until the middle of the month.

Playing with a fireteam is way more fun than going solo.

Based on the gaps in the star chart, we’re about half way through the story. I’ve hit level 20 on my Warlock and abandoned my Titan for the moment (someone else on my team has one).

Trying to decide if it’s worth getting the expansions now, so I don’t “waste” XP, but based on what I’ve read that’s not a major concern. I’ll reconsider once I’ve hit the Power Level cap.

You won’t waste XP, but you’ll level tons faster once you unlock the expansions. You’ll still earn bright engrams each time you “level up” after reaching the level cap. Don’t waste too much energy in optimising your gear and weapons now, as they’ll be obsolete within minutes if starting the expansions. If you have some favourite exotics or legendaries, stash them for later if they’re not random drops. You can them upgrade them by infusion to get their light level higher. Otherwise just reacquire them at the appropriate level for the expansions you own and infuse them after that.

That said, the expansions are really good, especially The Forsaken. The story is dark and gritty, the new areas are brimming with atmosphere and the boss fights are unique and fun (like a bike race with a fiery trail left behind it to burn enemies to ashes). The new weapons are also fun and varied and I’m actually enjoying experimenting with blues as opposed to legendaries and exotics.

I finally made it through the first bit up until when you see other players for the first time.

It’s a very pretty game!

I played some this morning. Made it to a camp. Going to fly to the shard now I think.

Nice. I’m just past that. Just did the Shard bit.

Is the game running alright for you?

I’m currently on Nessus, the scale of the environments in this game are insane!

I did a few missions in the EDZ. Nothing too exciting. Trying to get to the point where I left off on my old character. I was around level 10 so I hadnt gotten very far
