[GameClub] Deus Ex: Mankind Divided

with the “corner” takedowns and how stupid the AI are to the same cardboard box thrown into a corner, its really easy to ghost. just slightly behind you, wait in cover, corner takedown (he pulls them to him out of sight) and repeat until noone can hear the box hit the wall. move closer. start over :stuck_out_tongue:

No thanks - I like to run in guns blazing :stuck_out_tongue: or preferably would love to have a sniper - I love taking them down from a distance.

Restart game do intro mission, stealth it to the end, jump ledge murder like a pro disable helicopter, cut scene starts, game crashes… Redo jump ledge get my ass handed to me 3 times… And back at apartment…

I can’t get past the first area for goodness sake. Where you have to meet your ‘doctor’ in his library. I’m assuming you need to sneak under the fence to the right of the laser field, but geez. They catch me every time.
And I stream as I play but I suck so bad so the stream must be the most boring ever :see_no_evil:

I don’t understand why everyone seems to be struggling with this part. I literally took 1 look at the guy standing by that gate and immediately looked (and found) and easy way around. And once i’d cleared the place out and explored that area I found like 3 other entrances/exits that were all secretive. Is it just that I’ve gotten an eye for it from playing the crap out of Hitman/thief/dishonored games? I mean they even put a lift device nearby if you suck at jumping up onto the roof…:stuck_out_tongue:

@Entity You’re describing the fake police checkpoint, which is 1 of many ways to get to the area…and as long as you’re crouching, going through that fence next to boxes should be easy, unless they simply change it before you meet him (i only went there after).

I still need to start with this. Perhaps tonight, although the wife and I have started to co-op Wildlands, which is quite a bit of fun.

Mmm. I must look into that.

One word to everyone: explore!! Explore as much as you can. Every single scenario and mission has multiple ways of completing it. There are social outcomes you can get, talking to people, secret vents and holes you can crawl through, high rooftops you can get onto, and many things you can hack or use a multitool on.

I managed to finish most of the side missions for Prague at night. Only have one mission left. I found the most interesting side mission I completely missed the first time around, and it opened up more options and story I never knew. Story that ties Human Revolution and Mankind Divided with the original game. I was over the moon!!! All because I explored my surroundings. Take your time to assess the environment.

I maganed to do the doctor - I tried being sneaky - found the sewer line with a body and keycard - weirdly couldnt find the door that opened untill I finished that whole quest.

managed to get in on the top floor and killed all the people one by one or two by two with my pistol.

Managed to start the golden ticket - I just keep pissing people off and dying that way - found the forger with no issue tho and did it sneakily

Went ahead to the main mission and now I am looking for a stupid keycard

Right, done with GARM and now back in Prague during the riot. Very proud of myself ghosting the entire way through GARM, and finding a really handy pipe to go through.

The riot in Prague is not my favourite part of the game. It’s a bit slow trying to sneak past the police in the streets. Luckily if you explored you would find many different abandoned buildings and windows you can climb through. I also did the Harvester mission correctly, so now I get a new side mission I missed the first time I played the game

Tried again last night. Made it a bit further, but I’m just not caring for the game mechanics too much…

Doubt I’ll be finishing this one.

The movement feels odd compared to the last one.

I found myself playing about 4 hours straight last night before realising its past midnight and I should probably call it a day…funny thing is, that was all just purely exploration (i’m SUPER anal about finding EVERY credit chip and every pda etc) in Prague…I’ve only just now returned to my headquarters and havent fully looted there yet

Yea they did something to it. I dropped the mouse sensitivity to 10% - anymore and its mental any less then its like sludge

I managed to plant the whisper - rather easily once I found the back way in aka sneaky sneaky. Did a few side missions

Also if anyone has problems with the game, I changed from DX12 to DX11 and it works much better.

Unfortunately haven’t had much time to play yet.

Yea i am hoping that fixes the weird black blocks I am getting all over some screens - especially when I just loaded into an area

I’ve had no issues with DX12 at all but i think this is one of the rarer occasions where having an AMD card really helps. The game looks great!

I think my card is getting old.

The faces sometimes look like white static.

Did well last night with a fair few side missions. Game crashed towards the end so will see where I get back in tonight

also if square enix sends me this mail once more I might just block them

I watched the 12min recap, which was pretty well done but the graphics in the recap looked shit.

I just started with the first mission but didn’t get very far. The mouse speed was so fucking fast though, had to dial it down from 50 to 15%.
