I’m on the last chapter now so close to being finished. I liked the game so far. It’s not a masterpiece but it’s been fun.
Will finish it tomorrow evening if all goes well.
I’ve got to where Max has shaved his hair and is now fighting through the slums of Sao Paolo. The environment details are awesome - it certainly shows Rockstar’s attention to detail and creating a believable world.
I’m also glad that Max decided to sober up - the constant scenes of him popping pills and getting drunk was getting annoying.

I still remember the first 2 Max Payne games fondly. I finished both during high school. The third one really wasn’t that bad and I remember enjoying it a lot more roughly 4.5 years ago than I’m enjoying it at the moment…

Unfortunately I doubt that I’ll ever play Max Payne 2. There are just too many games.

Yeah I know. I’ve just not been in the mood for Max Payne at all. Every time I think I’ll start it, I get sucked into a different game. Far Cry 5 didn’t help either.

(The constant interruption of the cinematics is an interesting case-study. Devs have (hopefully) learned a lot since the game was released in 2012.)
