How integral is it to use oils, potions, decoctions, etc. in higher difficulties?
It will make a pretty big difference I reckon. Death March with no potions is not something I’d imagine to be possible (although I’m sure there are people who can do it).
I wonder if there are deprived or milktoast runs, or with fists only, or using a soup ladle or frying pan.
Just wondering, is there a way to disabble the autorun on PS4? I can’t recall seeing anyhting in the options though hardly looked for it.
i.e. I just want to be able to move at walking speed until I press a button to run/sprint.
Is this your first time playing a game on console?
You move the analog stick slightly forward to walk and all the way forward to run, just like pretty much any third person game on console ever.
But no, there is no way to disable that.
Slightly forward = walk. All the way = run. [x ] = sprint.
As a keyboard warrior, this gets me every time.
It was off to Skellige for me yesterday. Finished all the Witcher contracts I could finish at level 21 in Novigrad, got all the Treasure Hunts that I wanted. The only Secondary Quest that I don’t need to travel to Skellige to resolve is the high stakes Gwent game.
Also decided to skip the horse racing in Velen and just went straight for the races in Novigrad.
just press ctr to toggle walk
Us PC users have more buttons to allocate to things, we dont have to have 1 button perform multiple stuff like the peasants do
Skellige is the best part of the game for me. Love those Isles and the culture there is awesome.
I’m neglecting Witcher 3 a bit now because of Borderlands 3 and Dragon Quest XI, but I will definitely finish it before time runs out.
Last thing I did was finish up Fyke Isle and now I’m doing a few side quests in Velen and then off to Novigrad again to finish that quest line.
Yeah it sucks that the game doesn’t remember your setting. I pretty much walk 99% of the time so I have to press ctrl every time I enter the game.
It seems like I’m looking for a serial killer in Novigrad.
sounds like you and i are roughly the same place. im also busy finishing up everything i can in novigrad…altho im not lvl 20 yet. I realised too late that too low lvl quests only give you 1-2 xp, so i have a lot of wasted xp from very low lvl quests i only completed after bloody baron was finished
If you’re playing on PC you can get Always full xp mod to take care of that xp issue.
seems a wee bit ahead of ye (see how I tried to talk like an in-game NPC there)
anyway… i have Cirilla in tow along with my gang of misfits and about to face off is where I left off last night.

Is modding a game allowed as part of Gameclub?
I can’t see why not.
If it’s not then I have been disqualified from the word go.
You can scroll up in this thread to see all the mods I’m using, if you are so inclined.
As long as your not outright cheating modding is fine.
Tacit approval from our esteemed GM right from the beginning for mod use, so I don’t think it’s an issue.
