[GameClub] Transistor

at one point you wallking through these plant things and it goes “press button to flourish”. you do this spinning move when she jumps in the air…apparently its purely cosmetic and just for fun…no mechanic or purpose

The shouts of happiness! I have to say its odd, I loved the game the first time round, it doesnt have a replayablity that I was hoping for

Finished.

Must say, I’m pretty underwhelmed.

Congrats @murfle! I was also underwhelmed. It’s a shame because I looked forward to it for a long time.

I think I’m nearly finished.

And I’m done. Game completed.

Nicely done @czc!

Those who don’t finish Transistor will probably never be able to finish a Game Club game.

…like me. I just can’t commit to completing any specific game it seems.

Started today with the Recursion mode (basically Newgame+) which might have been a mistake. The enemies are really tough straight off the bat and I realise how long ago I played this when I try to figure out what all the abilities are etc.

Those who completed the game how many tries did it take you to defeat the last boss? I got him on the second go.

I will not speak of the attempts I made - The first time I played the game I got him on try 3, this time round it took weeks

I beat him first time. There were enemies before him that I found much more difficult.

I’m really starting to enjoy this game now that I’m figuring out all the abilities again. The amount of combinations of actives, upgrades and passives is quite impressive, especially in Recursion mode where you can actually double up on the abilities as you unlock them again.

I actually can’t remember… Could have been the first attempt, could have been 5… I was just happy to have it over with.

I finished my Recursion (NewGame+) run of the game today. I actually found myself enjoying it more than the first time playing - particularly because you have more combos available to you. I was also able to finish off all the challenges, the last few performance challenges were tough indeed. The final boss fight was actually a breeze after having completed the 3 agency tests where you fight a mirror image of yourself who has the same abilities as you choose to have.

I also think I understood the nuances of the story better this time round, although it still is a bit too vague. The ending is really good though. In comparison I still feel that Bastion is Super Giant’s best game, but after replaying Transistor I do rate it more highly than I used to, it is the kind of game that really shines in replaying it as a NG+

I’ve just got one more achievement to get, winning 5 battles with all the limiters on, which I’ll try do in the first few encounters of the game rather than the tougher end game battles.
