So I was hoping to squeeze in some track time before the end of the Season in an effort to get my Rookie SR above 3.0 before next Tuesday and make promotion. But, I see a comment on a Reddit post that says:
if you do any official races this week and your SR goes below 3.0 before Tuesday you wonāt be promoted.
I know the official season is 12 weeks, and this is the fun Week 13, but the the Mazda Cup race on the schedule still says ādriving in this series will count towards a license promotionā. My SR is still below 3.0, so does that mean that even if I do manage to get it above 3.0 by next Tuesday that because I ended Week 12 at below the required SR that Iāll have to wait until next season to get promoted regardless of what I do this week?
On a related questionā¦ if I actually ever do get promoted, is there any other Class D Road racing series I can do with whatever cars and tracks come with membership, or am I going to be either limited to the Mazda Cup or forced to buy new tracks and cars?
Lastly, is there any way in the Beta UI to start a Time Trial session?

Sorry @GregRedd but I have no idea how Week 13 influences the promotion.
I will have to have a look at class D but I think you may have to make a purchase. There are races like the F3 Sprint that require only that you buy a car and it makes use of the free tracks. Thereās another one like that too but canāt remember what it was.

I believe the season is over and week 13 is unofficial races as they do not appear on your racing profile.

Safety Ratings and iRatings are in effect for the Week 13 Global MX-5 Series, offering competitors the opportunity to boost their license ratings before promotions for Season 3 are finalized at weekās end. Likewise, rookies who have yet to complete the category-specific minimum participation requirements for graduation to a D license (two official races or four time trials in each category) can do so.
Iāll buy 6 tracks and have enough then to race 8 races in the ones I want to participate in.

Do you do pitstops in IMSA? If so how does it work? Will have to go google that.
Pit stops are easy. You set your fuel before the race starts under the Garage menu. Then you need to come into the pits to fuel up and change tires when you see fit. I think F5 and F6 shows fuel and tires. During the race you can change how many liters of fuel you want to add in your pit stop, and if you want to change tires.
It helps to know how many liters you use per lap to make sure you do not fuel up too much and make you car slower, or worse, have to pit again!
As for the actual pit stop: drive into the pits and look for your lollipop man. Stop in front of his lollipop and the game will do the rest. As soon as he lifts, you can drive off.
If you need to be repaired in the pit stop there will be a counter counting down how long the repairs will take.
Yeah tomorrow it starts, getting serious again. Brazil should be ok, just the choice of car will be interesting although the heavier Ferrari was not too bad.
Might do one last F3 tonight. Was super fun avoiding the skippies this weekend around Lime Rock.
As Olt and I discovered in our last two IMSA races, pit stops can be super critical for good gains on track. Just adds to your own complexity how far you want to take it. For a start just do your pit stop, donāt worry about exactly fuel levels or tires. Just donāt speed and donāt cut the line on pit exit.
Also if you have optional damage repair and you want to skip it, first before or while on the jacks put the car in neutral. When you off the jacks and the optimal repair timer is running put the car into first and drive off.
Unfortunately not all optional repairs are avoidable. Usually if your car if ok after an incident you most like can skip optional repairs. For me itās usually been body work or light aero damage.
I think iRacing just hates me. Finished work, got a couple of hours alone at home with functioning electricity, want to hop into iRacing to setup my wheel so that maybe I can do some races tonight to make the promotion cutoff time. But iRacing has other ideas for meā¦
