So, rather than clog up other topics, I thought it good to create a topic on this very subject.
It could work well if you post what games you are playing and in need of a partner of. Anybody finding a game mentioned by someone else can then tag the potential partner.
Oltman:
Looking for Far Cry 4 or 5 buddies, 2 to 4 players.
The day @DieGrootHammer genuinely and sincerely refers to you as “o grote koning” is the day I’ll co-op FC4 with you (to your immediate regret, I assure you - if you think my driving is kak, wait until you see my shooting!)
O grote koning @oltman, it would be my honor to join you in co-op shenanigans in Far Cry 4. I’ve not finished the game yet, and have played about 5 hours of the game so far. So I’m okay with restarting. I’m not too far into the smgame in any case.
Fanatical are currently running a Far Cry (maybe even an Ubisoft?) Sale - running for the next 8 days. Honestly no idea if the discounts are good, but compared to the prices on Steam/Epic/Ubistore, they look decent to me:
Looks like just over R200 for the Standard Edition (62% off) and just under R300 for the Gold Edition (72% off) at the moment.
The key you from Fanatical is redeemable directly on Ubi, so no weird alternate launchers and stuff that I saw some were worried about earlier in the topic.
BUT be aware that Fanatical to Ubisoft key redemption is done through your Fanatical account - you don’t get a key number to manually redeem on Ubisoft, you have to link your Fanatical account to Ubi and redeem keys that. This also means you can’t gift the game to someone else. (I’m guessing that they do it this way to stop key resellers buying up loads of the cheap keys and then reselling them).
There is no alternative to this system, so if that isn’t going to work for you, don’t buy Ubisoft games from Fanatical. Here’s a detailed how to activate keyless Ubisoft Uplay purchases from Fanatical Support. It’s a case of “buyer be aware”
