I am on Xbox, but I use A for clutch. Once you get used to it you will never go back to auto.
You can just do normal manual as well though, most people prefer that. The clutch just allows me to be much more precise, especially with gearing down
Donāt get me wrong, I prefer manual over auto when it comes to actual driving. I tried clutch in a game years ago, canāt recall which, but it was just there for show, didnāt actually make a difference to the game mechanics.
In Forza it makes a massive difference. Not sure what other games actually offer it anymore.
But yeah, getting quicker in any racing game calls for 2 things. No Auto and No ABS!
Iād prefer not to have ABS in my actual car eitherā¦
Hope that it is a track car or something. On our roads and the condition they are in these days it could get pretty hairy quite quickly
I donāt think Iāve ever had it kick in here. When I was in Canada during winters, sure, you could stop straight, but youād end up well into the intersection.
For mud, ice, snow and stuff like that ABS is not a good idea yeah. But with oil spills, dirt and stuff like that on tar it makes a huge difference. And even just on tarmac in general for the average drivers. Most people will just stomp onto the brake in an emergency and wonder why the car is not turning with the steering wheel.
Ya, I learned how to pump my brakes properly before ABS was a thing.
Just gave away your age
āThe concept for ABS predates the modern systems that were introduced in the 1950s.ā ā¦ woah dudeā¦Or should I say Gramps?
Before ABS was a standard thing.
FTFM(e)
lol, still way off the Pro.
Managed to get in just under 2 minutes, which was my main aim. I wonāt have time to better it, so hopefully I can stay in second place!
Thatās awesome. Thanks for putting in a time.
Godā¦ dammit.
This weeks event is almost over, does anyone want to suggest a track and car? Maybe @Grievous? Then Iāll create the challenge. Must be a time trial course.
I donāt know enough about the game and its cars, but possibly a less heavy car this week?
Ok cool. Lighter like smaller hatchback kind of thing, or supercar lighter kind of thing?
HotHatches always make for fun racing
