MEW eSports

I am slowly but surely building up my PC again and will get back into competitive gaming.
So this is my proposal and what I want to do.

I want to start MEW eSport, both for casual and competitive gaming.
I will help where I can with admin, registration, recruiting and whatever else is needed.

Main games at this stage will be CSGO, PUBG, Dota, seeing as we have quite a few serious racers here Project Cars 2 as the racing scene is really growing.

Who would like to join and which game? And comp or casual?

Unfortunately all games I dont play but I will support where I can

What do you play that you would like join?

there are whispers of an ISP coming into the area offering stable and affordable internet so as I get it I’m game.
Need to get some CSGO practice in.

Willing to help! I have quite a lot of experience in the comp scene, especially CSGO

I’d be willing to give CS:GO a shot.

I honestly have no idea - Im a casual gamer - I don’t do well in comp settings.

You would be surprised to see how fun casual competitive gaming is. There are MANY teams in tournaments like DGL that just do it for the fun. No pressure, just fun.
You then also learn lots about the game, and gain a few skills. And who know, you might actually get better and better and like to play seriously.

The only game I think I have that will work, is HotS?

I am way to crap at FPS games to concider esports, to be honest. If there is ever a Transport Tycoon Deluxe tournament I will END YOU ALL though.

I may be interested in a racing league though. Project Cars 2 is a good start, I just need more practice on the wheel. But Forza you know I can be competitive, albeit not the fastest…yet.

Other issue I have with esports is that I am playing on console most of the time.

I will find out for you if the current Project Cars 2 Tournament is cross platform

Oh damn, then I REALLY need to get some good practice in. At the moment with the wheel I had to resort back to using limited traction control as my foot is not smart enough with when to put the power down. But I’m getting the hang of it slowly but surely.

I’d consider getting involved. I play CS:GO fairly regularly, although these days I feel like I’m getting worse at it.

On Project Cars 2, put the settings on realistic. Drive the cars as they are in real life. Most race cars do have a small amount of traction control.

I’m sure you and some mates took me under your wing in 2016 when I was playing cs:go.
Was lekker to learn

Yes yes, back when we were playing as Jukes or MDK at the time

Nice idea @Flex. I’m almost exclusively a single player gamer however. Just had a quick try at PUBG.

There are more than enough people on here to start a few squads or Duo PUBG teams. For people like you it will be more for the casual and fun part of it.

I want there to be 1 main team per title and the a bunch a academy/fun teams

I’m keen to get involved in the casual side and see how it goes - wouldn’t mind getting into the more competitive side as long as it doesn’t put too stringent demands on my time.

That will exactly be the point of the academy teams. To learn from the main teams, still play matches in tourneys vs other teams but not to be taking too seriously at all.
