As 2019 draws to a close, let’s celebrate the end of the decade by crowning a Game of the Decade. After a little trawling through the Metacritic and OpenCritic lists, here are 20 of the most highly rated and frequently cited as GotY and award winning games released in the 2010s.
Everyone gets up to 4 votes, and results are hidden so that you won’t be swayed by others. If there’s a game that you feel should be on this list, add it in the comments and I’ll manually add them after the fact. The poll will automatically close at midday on December 31st.

What a choice to make, it’s tough enough picking a game of the year let alone a decade.
@GregRedd one game I’d like to add is Counter Strike: Global Operations (CS:GO) it remains my most played game and is still going stronger than ever since it’s 2012 release.
Lol. Very tough. Think how tough it was for me getting the list down to 20, the maximum I could put into a poll At least this time we are free to change our votes as often as we like until the poll closes. I’ve already changed 2 of my 4 original picks.
Added Counter Strike as a manual vote, so say so in the comments if you want it to be one of your 4 choices. Darth, already counted yours as the first vote.
Going by games I have sunk the most hours into, Warframe and Diablo 3 would definitely be on my list. I’m sure Destiny 2 would be on the lists of many others.
If there are other votes for Warframe and Diablo 3, I’ll remove two of my votes from the poll. Pity that Discourse doesn’t let us set up ranking polls.
Minecraft is probably (objectively) the biggest game of this decade, even though I don’t particularly like it or think it’s all that. But (as someone in the office kindly pointed out) I’m not 12.
If I just think of which games I keep coming back to, the Mass Effect, Batman and Witcher are pretty much the only games on the list. I would maybe have added XCom 2.
@crzwaco sorry for the off topic reply, but you might want to check out Phoenix Point (Currently Epic exclusive, coming to every other platform next year)
