You should really try going to an endocrinologist. My wife struggled with her skin and went to several dermatologists during her life and none of them were anle to help - neither did their expensive products work. The hormone doctor gave her advice based on the results of a battery of blood tests which ended up helping more than 15 years of fancy skin products.

There’s a great one (Dr Magan) at Sandton Mediclinic.

my next port of call will be a internist if these dermalogical treatments dont work. this is the first dermatologist/doctor that has not wanted to just give me steroids to treat my skin. they are first treating my stomach and intestines to ensure i have all the correct bacterias etc and remove any inflamation and will be treating the outside of my skin with laser light to reduce the redness( as i currently look like i have severe sunburn.)

Sounds like they’re treating the symptoms instead of the cause

they are yes to a point and we shall see how it goes after a month of following their treatments and diet change (i have to go full on paleo, no gluten, sugar or dairy and alcohol).

i just want the pain to stop and if the laser light will do that, then great… i cant do the steroid creams anymore as they dont work as well anymore and the symptoms are way worse after each steroid stint.
