NASA is rolling out their first completed SLS (Space Launch System) rocket for the first time ever! The 6.85 km [4.25 mile] long journey will take approximately 5 hours to reach its destination of Launch Complex 39B for its upcoming wet dress rehearsal. This long awaited event is one of the last steps before it launches no earlier than June, 2022.

Watch as the rocket and spacecraft for our Artemis I mission around the Moon move to their launchpad at Kennedy Space Center.

The integrated Orion capsule and Space Launch System rocket will take a 4-mile journey from the Vehicle Assembly Building to launch pad 39B, with the full travel time expected to last from six to 12 hours. This step is in preparation for a prelaunch test known as wet dress rehearsal, which includes loading the rocket’s propellant tanks and conducting a launch countdown.

Very, very cool video. Really good, understandable explanation. Great share!

(Oh, and every time the term “event horizon” is used I cannot stop thinking about scenes from Event Horizon, the old Laurence Fishburne, Sam Elliott sci-fi horror movie from the late nineties. Probably one of the most gore-filled, scary as heck, and weird AF movies I’ve ever seen.)

Ya, I love that guy’s channel. His videos are well thought out, well produced, etc etc

I’m also in the same boat with that movie.
