I also bought Shadow of Mordor when it was on sale previously. Just need to find the time to play it!
Luckily all my spare cash went to my SS gifts, nothing really catching my eye this sale in anycase
Ergh, my fingers hurt.
Damn you Pet, damn you to hell!!
I have been playing this Demonicon extensivly lately and thoroughly enjoying it., now its going for 7 bucks!
It is more than worth it, I can see why people frown upon it because it seems like it was made by a bunch of self taught garage developers who put a crap ton of effort into a spare time project
If you like Fable style gameplay and very dark evil stories full of “grey choices” give this a go, for 7 bucks!!
It’s also mega camp, it’s just lovely. Main character looks like he belongs in the cast of the office.
Pass me the defrib! CLEAR!!!
BZZZZZT!
It’s ALIVE!
The Steam Autumn Sale is now on!
Anyone else getting that useless error
I have a feeling its the sale that is causing kak - I cant even do the game nominations
I cant buy one by one or in bulk
Might be servers overloaded again, strange though i had no problems yesterday
I havent had any luck as of yet
Odds on the Steam Halloween Sale to start today? Pretty good I think.
Both the IsThereAnyDeal? and SteamDB sites have been gearing up for the first of the 3 Steam Sales events that traditionally happen before the end of the year. The Halloween Sale is normally fairly short (~5 days) and tends to focus - obviously - on a lot of spooky, scary, horror games. That said, there are also occasionally some other non-horror related titles on sale.
Following this one comes the Autumn Sale toward the end of November - which should have a broader collection of titles on sale.
And then the big, end-of-year Winter Sale which traditionally runs for about 2 weeks through Christmas and into the New Year.
Sale runs through until Monday evening, so you have the weekend to dig through the offerings to find those one or two gems with decent discounts…
There’s also one on GOG
I imagine most online stores vendors are having some sort of Halloween Sale - there’s more than enough games in the many scary and spooky genres to warrant a sale I guess.
In addition to Steam and GOG above, other stores having Halloween Sales:
Steam Winter sales frequently (but not always) start and end on Thursdays, and run for two weeks. Last year, the big Winter Sale last year started on the Thursday of the week before Christmas and ended on the Thursday of the week after.
If the same pattern is followed with Christmas this year falling on a Friday that would mean the Winter Sale only begins next week Thursday, the 24th and runs through to the 7th of January. Personally, I don’t see that happening - not enough time before Christmas to flog a metric truck load of digital stocking stuffers.
I have seen one site suggesting that the sale may start today as a result. But that’s also a bit of a long shot in my opinion. In most cases though, even though it’s still unconfirmed, the predictions seem to agree that the 2020 Steam Winter Sale will start on Tuesday, 22 December, and run through until Tuesday, 5 January.
Up and running without crashing. No silly games and such it seems, so the Steam servers are doing okay. Only extra activity I can find is a free chat sticker every other day:
If you’d rather head straight to the discount aisle and see what’s available, remember that the good folk over at SteamDB run an outstanding database service that allows you to search and order all the games on sale in a variety of useful ways. You can highlight only your wishlisted games (if you log in), or only show games that have a 80% or higher discount, or show games that are rated over 90%.

Bah humbug!
Nothing on my Wishlist with a higher than 70% rating is at more than 50% off.
Now that is some insane milking of the franchise. The amount of DLC is too damn high!
