Post Your Pets!

I wish I could afford to put up a fence and the daily costs of owning a dog…

Maybe one day.

I had to get him from another province. Totally worth it

He is still extremely jittery. He takes popcorn from my fingers at record speed. I got a bit too close to his hide with a sunflower seed last night and he bit my finger, but he didn’t break the skin. But he seems to be a brave little guy. He comes out to investigate noises, so I think he’ll tame fairly soon.

Anyone got any Yorkies?

I am wondering how it would get along with my two boys, 2 and 9 years old respectively.

Personally I am not a fan of the breed and do not consider it a dog :stuck_out_tongue:

We had 2 Yorkies and loved them. They were actually fond of kids, as we had them when our niece was quite small. They are fun dogs and love playing and cuddling, so you can get them to expend some energy with the boys and then let them play lap-dog later with your or the wife in front of the TV.

Forgive me for opening up a discussion on pets, not really the place but couldn’t find a more suitable place. But that’s exaclty it, and perhaps me having a predisposition of what a dog is per say. I’ve always considered Yorkies as a toy breed and treated as more of an accessory or a fashion item. As such I’ve created a stigma for myself of what Yorkies are or should be, and not an over grown rat

I’ve only ever had medium and large breeds.

We have one. Not my favourite breed. They are yappers and often bark at nothing  But ours is good with the kids. They have character, that’s for sure.

Hey that is my dogs

And I have to say nope to yorkies, I would rather maybe look at a dachund? If trained (they are a bit hard headed) they don’t yap as much, but bark when needed, fun to play with and cuddles lovely
