Dwayne “The Rock” Johnson has a video game related movie announcement sometime this year:
We’re going to bring one of the biggest, most badass games to the screen—one that I’ve played for years. I’m really excited to bring it to fans around the world. Of course we’re going to do right by our gamer friends—but really we’re just going to make a great movie.
Any guesses as to what the “biggest, most badass games” in the mind of The Rock could be? One in which he would presumably have the starring role?
- Gears of War
- God of War
- Doom (again)
Any others that you can think of that he might be involved with?

Not trying to be offensive, but his face looks too dumb to be used for those games as movies.

Considering where he comes from, and how far he has come in his acting career, not to mention he is one of the most sought after actors and one of the most highly paid. I quite enjoy his movies.

Disney+ confirmed for SA (and 41 other countries) sometime between July and September this year:
No sign of pricing yet though. UK Disney+ sub at launch was about R125, with added Star Hub (for added adult programming from Hulu, FX, 20th Century, etc.) was about R170.

GOW - I hope that DJ doesn’t do this movie. The character of Marcus MUST, MUST be played by Dave Bautista. Dave has made such mentions in the past and it would be criminal to not have him play that role.
God of War - I could see this happening
Doom - YES PLEASE!! Put him in the Doomslayer armour and let him go to town on a bunch of CGI demons! Put that directly into my veins!!!
Some others I can think of:
Minecraft - The character of Steve can carry A LOT of stuff, and the theoretical carry weight of Steve changes with every update and additional content added. For reference the theoretical limit Steve can carry is around about 1,734,409,042.44 kg, which is about the average weight set used by The Rock during his warmup routines, so who better to play Steve than him…
Spelunky - He’s already played at least 4 movies in which he was in a jungle wearing khaki’s, so he would fit right in!
Halo - Master Chief is 7 feet tall. Put some small lifts in DJ’s shoes and he would fill the Master Chief suit no problem!

Doubt it’s Halo - the Paramount+ series is coming out this year. Doubt they’d do a movie at the same time. Besides, he likes his face too much to have it hidden behind Master Chief’s helmet all the time 
While I like the idea, I don’t think either Spelunky or Minecraft could be characterised as “one of the… most badass games”, though.
100% agree with your Dave Bautista suggestion for Gears. He was (surprisingly to me) very good in See recently, and I can see him in that role.
So that leaves God of War (I think it’s this one personally) and Doom. But been there, done that with Doom already, so unless it’s a reboot or sequel…? Only other thought I had after my initial post was maybe Solid Snake from Metal Gear? Long shot too though.
