Did you do a full machine install as well, with reformated drives and all? Or just the Windoos?
just the windows - most of the other drives are still brand new and I REALLY dont want to redownload all my games.
And other files that I dont want to lose - I dont have anywhere to copy files too. Plus the fun that was the xbox app has me sceptical to do this until I have finished at the very least plagues tale
Ok, so just to give an update. My issues are sorted out now. It was !@#$ Windows Updates that broke my sound somehow. To try and resolve it, I sommer used the MSI Live Update utility to download the latest drivers for my mainboard and sound and that resulted in the sound still not working and BSODs (which occurred more frequently when uninstalling the sound driver). I later figured out that MSI Live Update somehow downloaded the drivers for the wrong mainboard. After re-downloading all the drivers manually from the site and reinstalling everything, now the sound and BSODs are sorted.
I really hate troubleshooting computers.
Okay, so not really a tech support thing today, more a “peripheral setup recommendations” thing. Specifically for PC connected Logitech G920 wheel, but open to suggestion from anyone with insight.
I’ve been finding I spend almost as much time fiddling with my wheel settings as I do actual driving, and am wondering how other drivers have their wheel’s setup.
And then specifically for Logitech and G920/G29 owners:
I use the Logitech G-Hub application and everything on default. I can send you a screenshot of my settings in game however. I use similar settings to what @DieGrootHammer uses. He sent me his originally.
Would appreciate that, thanks Soli.
I use Logitech Gaming Software 9.02 for my G29. I made a few tweaks in the software for the wheel rotation.
Initially it didn’t work great on my PC. I would have to go to full lock to turn just a bit left. Turning right was fine. That was solved by digging deep into Windows 10 for the very old game controller calibration tool.
That sounds horrible. My modern view of the world is that this stuff should just be plug and play.
I’ve switched to Thrustmaster, but the Logitech software does come with profiles, for games, if you prefer that. Though every games implementation is not always so bueno when combined with a bespoke profile. So i tend to leave everything on 100% in the driver software. And then, at least you don’t have to keep track of per driver profile and per game config, as far as FFB goes.
I went a little low tech since: I printed out diagrams for every wheel, and per game, print stickers and stuck them up on a wall. That takes care of, “what’s the wipers button again?” And settings, I set driver software to one thing (max wheel rotation and 100% feedback), and let the games handle specifc ffb for each game. Also made sure to write each game config on the diagram per game. You ain’t never losing that, and all you need to do is look at the wall, if you settings go missing.
It’s a pleasure. I will look tonight.
I see they got resized. Full images here: https://steamcommunity.com/id/solitudesa/screenshots/

Oh yay guess what is back, the reboot loop. . . .
Just by itself? Was there an update?
Aw sorry Wyv. That sucks so much.
Yep Im still stuck with a bunch of broken updates including the one that broke the thing from the start - its saying failed to update so dunno if that is why - I cant uninstall it and I cant reinstall it. . . . .
Ive removed all the latest updates. Since it was behaving without them for 15 days!
I don’t know if its google spying but after looking at this thread I got one of those news updates on my phone that says the latest windows update is destroying peoples computers.
Ok now the big test, running the pc without my gfx card
lets see what happens, I have uninstalled all the updates up to 25/5/2020 and it still kept crashing
Goodluck!
