I once transferred too much money out of my cheque account and my homeloan payment bounced.
I did before they went web but eventually used their techniques and made my own google spreadsheet that I’ve used ever since.
They quite pricey if I remember.
Yeah, $13pm is quite a big ask.
Especially for us South Africans.
I guess you can follow their 4 rules without using their software.
I was just reading the Ambition & Balance blog from Todoist (which I have Premium), and thought it was helpful or insightful.
Does anyone have any suggestions for some sort of software to ‘keep track of things’? Like those in IT, how do you keep track of equipment and their details like logins, serials, locations etc? Cable routing maps and the like or any other industry.
I found this mind mapping software that I thought I’d try but I preferably would like something that I can access from anywhere and not have to get my laptop out to check something…
Give Milanote a try. Not specifically for that purpose but it has creative freedom which I like.
If you want more hands-on control and more management over your data, try out Notion, it’s databases and filtering and sorting methods are wonderful. And so customisable.
Edit: both solutions are web based, have Mac apps (not sure about Windows), and have mobile apps too.
Thanks. Yeah I know mind mapping software isn’t the right thing but it also has such freedom to customise it to what you need. I’ll check those out.
I’m just getting tired of all the excel files linking to other excel files linking to ot…
Sounds like Notion might suite you better in that case. I have seen some people workplaces in Notion look like a fully fledged website, but it really is just a database.
I’ve seen the term Asset Management software before, it might fulfil your need.
Edit: https://www.softwaretestinghelp.com/it-asset-management-software/ for reference. Just ignore everything after “What Does An Asset Management System Do?”, a lot of what’s written there is hogwash.
That awkward moment when you realize you have @Solitude on your FB friend’s list because of his Twitter shenanigans
Yay that is awesome
The absolute best outcome of technology I can think of, is browsing the internet with your thumb, while sitting on the shitter
