oh fuck MTN - he just sent me an update - at least half our area has no internet thanks to the fucknuts replacing water pipes in the area - they managed to cut a cable and now the mtn guys are playing find the break

Also happy with the Red team. I got a 3700x and X570 mobo… Everything feels so fast and instant. I was used to i7 laptops for about 5 years now and had an old 4th gen i5 desktop and thought that’s how things should feel. Little did I know how glorious proper multithreading is for development work where you’re running 6x IDEs, at least 10x browser tabs, 14x Docker containers running microservices, 2x database engines, an AMQP message broker, 3x IM clients a VPN client and some other sundry services and software. This processor and mobo doesn’t even break a sweat and paired with 32GB RAM running at XMP profile of 3600MHz and an NVMe SSD everything is JUST INSTANT.

It astounds me how these “content creators” have top of the line rigs like i7 9700k with a 2080Ti and you realise they’re using it to play Minecraft.
