Yeah, I got flat broad feet. Guess running is out then.

I have the same issue, and have also found only New Balance trainers fit my feet - since they still make wide shoes. I would suggest go have a look at that access park, also keep an eye out on footgear. Often nice specials there.

Problem is I never really have that amount of money just lying about in order to make an impulse buy when I see one of those specials.

Ag wat.

So get a pair of inner soles and then get shoes that are broader round the toes. Lots of places have very good specials going. I bought the hubby a new pair of shoes for gymming for R300 the other day…

Thanks, will keep an eye out.

Dude - I have an emergency cash fund - every month I stick R100 - R200 leftover cash in there. That is then used to make the months where I struggle easier or helps to buy shoes/clothing in an emergency

Do you have a grassy area nearby? You just try sprinting barefoot on the grass (assuming there is no broken glass there.)

Even better would be the beach.

Since we are talking about shoes, I too have very flat feet I also wear size 13.5-14UK which means the only place I can now get my shoes is this place:https://www.mensshoecentre.co.za/

Although I did strike lucky with my last pair of shoes, R250 at the local GWK retail store for size 14 steel toe boots, and has been lasting quite a while now.

Plenty, non of which you want to go barefoot anywhere due to devil thorns EVERYWHERE!

That is a great idea actually, now I just need the petrol to get there

Yeah, my cash is drained about a week after payday.

hehe I think the second job helps that I have that little extra

I have also set the bank my change to the max R50 on the FNB app - it saves automatically once a week between R150 - R250 to my savings account - I wont lie, most months that just goes back into my weekly spend.

The cash I get from mum - I don’t draw cash at all. But since I buy my thc and her cbd together, she gives me the cash for it and I put that in a hidden cache.

So I just saw a joke on a panel show about body parts in a basement freezer, and I thought, damn… Serial killers in South Africa must have it hard with all the load shedding.
