Yep, still no cure. There are some sleeping pills, but then I still feel tired for the whole next day (and if they even work to begin with). You could try Somnil and see if that will help you sleep through. It is a mild sleeping pill and I think natural, not sure now. Otherwise maybe push through for another hour before going to sleep so that you’re extra tired.
Then again, maybe don’t take my advice since I clearly suck at sleeping.

I have these “seasons” though where I barely sleep for a period (less than 5 hours) but I’m not tired at all, then periods where I still barely sleep but I’m tired all the time to the point where I can’t function and then a catch-up phase where I’m constantly sleeping and still tired when I’m awake.

Having kids that don’t sleep through though pushed me into that “always tired” zone for extended periods… and just as our kids are starting to sleep through the night, a new one will be popping out on 5 May.

So boss had a talk with me. Turns out the CEO want me to become a junior rep and then eventually take over from her. Needless to say she’s not very happy about that but it’s from the CEO so she has to do it. She also mentioned 1000 times that it wibt take up my full day. Meaning I’m still going to manage the warehouse and run the office and she’ll teach me when she feels like it. But other than that it’s Friday and it’s a day closer to my check up date :mechanical_arm:

2 things for the capies -
The Cape Winelands District Municipality’s Fire Services together with partners, CapeNature, Overberg District Municipality and the Fire Protection Association (FPA) continue to battle the fire in the mountains in backend of Banhoek and Jonkerhoek valleys, in the Stellenbosch municipal area.
The fire teams continued with active firefighting, the monitoring and management of flare-ups and mopping up operations throughout the night. Fresh teams have replaced the previous shift and are deployed to high risk areas, where there are still active fire lines.
The crew totals 107 fire fighters and ground team members assisted by 8 purpose-built firefighting vehicles. Aerial resources will be deployed when conditions are favourable.
The incident management team has expressed concern that the predicted hot, windy weather may hamper firefighting efforts. Contingency plans are being put in place should there be a threat to life and/or property.
The CWDM advises that all hiking and biking trail enthusiasts that all trails in the area are closed. Please do not access the trails as the variable winds are apt to change the direction of fires at short notice which will pose a serious threat.

Good day. Residents requested to reduce water consumption this weekend
25 February 2021
The City’s Water and Sanitation Department will be shutting down production at the Faure Water Treatment Plant temporarily to enable maintenance and repair work on a bulk water pipeline this weekend.
Cape Town residents are requested to please minimise non-essential consumption of water this weekend due to work taking place on the 2400mm Faure bulk water pipeline.
The Faure Water Treatment Plant, which is one of the major treatment plants supplying the city, will be offline from Friday 26 February at 14:00 until Sunday 28 February at 14:00.
Arrangements have been made to step up production at the Blackheath Water Treatment Plant to compensate while Faure is offline, and residents should not experience any significant disruption of water supply as a result. However, there may be slight changes to the taste and colour of water coming out of the taps during changeover of supply. This is no cause for concern, and water remains safe to drink.
The work involves the replacement of a 1800mm diameter valve in the vicinity of Ithemba Labs, Eerste River, as well as the repair of two scour/draining valves on this main pipeline that conveys water from the Faure water treatment plant.
The request for residents to reduce consumption while work is under way is a precaution to minimise strain on the system while one of the major treatment plants are offline.

The Stellenbosch municipality has also been informed to prepare for this as a portion of their drinking water is supplied from this bulk water main.
The City sincerely regrets any inconvenience caused, but it is imperative that it maintains its water supply infrastructure to benefit its consumers.

I have not. I read an article about cannabis use for sleep a couple of years ago and essentially they didn’t recommend it. I can’t remember the details but I think it was something along the lines that it works initially, but it isn’t a good type of sleep. I think you don’t dream or something like that. The other thing is that in the short term, it helps you to sleep, but later on you can’t sleep without it so long term it actually makes the insomnia worse.
I read this was a while ago before CBD oils became mainstream so I don’t know if CBD oils will behave differently or if the data has changed since then.

Been trying for a while now to find something that can help me stay asleep. Falling is almost instant but up 2 hours later and again and again through the night. I tried CBD, tried 1, then 2, then 4 sachets and it did not work for me.

I drink THC capsules to sleep.

I used to walk in my sleep and get night terrors and just struggle with sleep altogether. THC capsules fixed that for me.

Yea I got Soli on the THC caps, I dunno about him, but I am not on a heavy dose and trust me I sleep like a baby most nights, but when VERY stressed like now I still struggle. mum uses cbd and finds she sleeps so much better with it. In all honesty Im much more rested since I went onto the thc caps. I used to get 2-4 hours broken sleep. now I average 5-6 and I am sleeping better - according to my fitbit
