Morning you beautiful fuckers
If I can bother you for a moment I have a few questions, @SIGSTART I think you can help me or if anyone else knows something please share,
However, many ISPs run promotions where they will waive the activation fee so long as you stay with them for 12 months. If you cancel within the first 12 months, then you have to pay the activation fee.
Vox also has a set of “Pro” accounts where you don’t have to pay the activation fee and get free unlimited national calls using their Vobi VOIP app, but it costs more per month than their “Basic” accounts.
The standard activation fee on Frogfoot always was R1750. It’s interesting that RocketNet is charging R1500.
Frogfoot told me not so long ago that the activation fee includes 50m of trenching from your nearest boundary box to your house.
The installation can become more expensive if the contractor has to trench further than that to pull the actual fibre into your house.
The sub-contractor that did my install brought the final plans and costs to me for final sign-off before he went ahead, though. So there shouldn’t be any surprises as long as Frogfoot assigns a decent sub-contractor.
