I woke up this morning with my eyes swollen shut thanks to going out on Sunday to an outdoor market where there were lots of trees and grass…my eyes were swollen yesterday already but today they were really bad… all thanks to allergies

There’s so much dust up here on the Highveld under normal circumstances. But after a bone dry winter and with all the pollens and other kak in the air at the moment, I too am struggling to stop the sniffles, sneezes and scratchy eyes.

The Cape has fynbos. Which is a wonderful biome and all, but not great for people with allergies.
We’ve fled to Stellenbosch and then we’re going back home to summer. We’ll come back to Cape Town when it learns to behave itself.
