Yeah, we had a convection oven for around 5 years or so which could do almost everything. Though we hardly used a fraction of the features so replaced it with a basic R500 microwave. Looking at getting an air fryer as a result. I’ve heard such good things about them.
Morning people of the palace
@Beo you need to get the biggest one possible, I cant remember which one we got, I love the thing but for more than 2 people its difficult to make a lot of food.
We use it for things like chips, stuffed mushrooms, bacon, things like fishcakes, etc.
I wont make veg in it again, hated the texture. I also prefer to cook steaks etc in a pan rather.
I even make fried dumplings/springrolls.
If it was just me on my own, I would do more in it.
Hmm… I can’t afford 2k+ for one, so maybe not the best idea then.
Thanks.
The convection oven does the same thing and you can do more in it. So that is personally what I would go for.
As much as I love the airfryer - for a big family its difficult. For 1 or 2 people you can still make a meal in it.
I can do single meals like chicken breast and potato in it, cos I would like to make more than 1 thing at a time.
Had one of those, packed up recently and just got a microwave to replace it.
Though we are 4 people we really prepare for 2 or three so it might work.
perhaps it might work for us, if at least for one part of the dish, like the chicken or taters.
It does save a crap ton of power - that is my biggest plus
My fav chicken dish we make in it is:
take your chicken breast, the skinned ones, tenderise it, make it flat, put 2 big pieces of spinach ontop, with 1 slice of cheese, salt and pepper and other herbs that you want/ spices. Roll the chicken breast up, wrap it in 1 phylo pastry sheet, egg wash it and bake it in the airfryer - we can fit 3 of them in for 20mins on 180.
Yay we are going home at 1
What you mean, I been home all along
Ya you work from there, I am not allowed
Enjoy.
Saa guys
Question. Has anyone watched Dragon’s Dogma yet? And how close is it to the game?
Happy Saturday!
Morning people of the Palace have a great day
Good afternoon everyone.
Busy making waffles, found a good recipe that I like.
What’s the recipe?

I just added a step, I separated the eggs, whisked the whites to foam and folded that in to the batter at the end.
They are crispy and fluffy
Had no power the whole day. Finally back on now.
The whole day there’s been no updates no matter how much we asked. Absolutely pathetic. Really really frustrating.
