That’s the plan. Except for my Dirt Rally Spain stages - going to find a way to do those just so that you lot aren’t all ahead of me after just Round 1!

Just the kind of shit my parents have started since they are now both retired and bored. Mum keeps herself busy, but anything she does dad moans about, he is very bored. And takes it out on us. And since I am living with them I am caught in the middle.

He’s doing alright, thanks. Was hoping that he’d be well enough to come home today, but sadly not. He has RSV that resulted in pneumonia, so he goes into coughing fits that last a good 10-15 minutes. He had such a bad one earlier today that he kept panicking and yelling “help me”. It wasn’t the most pleasant of experiences.
Best thing is to keep him calm, which is very difficult to do with a usually very active three year old in a small room. So I need to keep thinking of distractions and keep the iPad rotating shows he enjoys. We’re hoping for release tomorrow. Wife is staying over with him again after I spend the day from 11:00 until 18:30 with him.

Stay strong man. Wow, it must be difficult to see that. He’ll be out of there before you know it.

I’m sure he will. Truth be told, this is his fourth hospital stay in his 3 years of life. He was first admitted at around 10 days old and stayed for 7 days due to some still unknown viral and / or bacterial infection. Beginning of 2020 he went in for grommets & adenoid removal and stayed 2 days. Then end of last year he was in hospital for exactly the same thing he has now and stayed for 2 days. And now so far he is on 2 days once again…

Sadly not on both accounts. He got worse this morning, but ended up much better this afternoon. He’s incredibly frustrated having to stay in the little room though. Indications are he’ll be released on Tuesday, currently. My wife is also at wit’s end currently. Being stuck in a small room with a hyperactive three year old is no joke. At least the hospital allows me to overstay my visit by 2 hours each day so I can help with bath and getting ready for bed. Otherwise my wife just wouldn’t be able to cope…

Does anyone know where I may be able to get something like a Japanese dining table?
I want to move to a more traditional means of meal times with the family but we don’t have the space allowance for a conventional dining table. I thought something like this would be better purposed as a lounge coffee table and dining table.

I hope he gets to go home on Tuesday at the latest. I would offer to come to give her a visit and let her take a rest but obviously not an option
