@Solitude good luck, man, moving is hella stressful, so remember to take care of yourselves, and pack everything you need to make coffee and a snack in a smaller box that goes with you in the car. That way you don’t need to look for anything in the big boxes when you’re parched!

@murfle: Done! It’ll all work out, man, keep the faith!

@Beo: Who’s the lucky lady?

I’m struggling to concentrate on work this morning - I’m working from home today, because the owner of the house and an electrician is in here to do the electrical CoC, making a racket, dogs are barking, and I’ve got an interview on MS Teams at 13:00, so I’m trying to keep my nerves in check. It’s a weird feeling, because I really don’t get nervous easily…

Mornings

Our area is in such kak… Have not had power since 1h30pm yesterday and city power is blaming eskom and eskom is doing fuck all…
Plus the husband and I both got food poisoning on Monday night from chicken…

haha I can see the confusion. My apologies, I was implying that I was engaged with @murfle’s request.

I on the other hand am a happily married man :star_struck:

Hope it goes well.

Lol!

I’ve often wondered if electricians actually do anything. I got a CoC when I bought my flat but there is one socket in a cubboard that doesn’t have a cover plate. Don’t know if its a requirement or not.

Thats sucks. Hopefully you recover quickly.

The sound of South Africa is definitely generators running in the background.

Don’t quote me on this, but I don’t think it is. I’ve got a feeling that it’s 90% checking that the breakers are sized correctly on the db, and that each socket does trip at the correct electrical load.

I am sure I saw something about being downgraded to Stage 3, or are we still on Stage 4 until tomorrow morning?

Well we are basically on 24hr without power now and still no word on when we will have power… We are supposed to be shed again at 2pm and at 10pm again tonight so I guess we won’t be having power anytime soon

That’s awful, I hope they get things sorted soon.

Loadshedding, that’s what’s up :weary: but at least it’s only one session ends at 8:30. After 6+hours of load shedding yesterday it gets a bit much.

Gotta go get a new gel battery for the alarm, the current one doesn’t last more than 2 hours anymore.
