With loadshedding coming on and off Eskom broke three transformers in our area. Predicted no power from 6pm last night until some time tomorrow…

Morning people of the palace
1 batch of dog treats baked yesterday, today I will attempt the final batch before the power goes off at 2.
Luckily we are stage 2 compared to your 3, but this is our week to have the kak one - its either 2 - 4:30 or its 6am - 8:30am and then again 22:00 - 00:30.
And I have to stay up for it cos our alarm dislikes the loadshedding - it was a new battery in Jan, now its not lasting 30mins in loadshedding

Our alarm battery is also dead. Garage batteries at our old house too and replaced them a year ago!
Going to replace the alarm battery tomorrow.

And since we moved to a house I had to buy all kinds of gardening stuff. It breaks my heart to pay money for lawnmowers and stuff like that. The gardener wanted an edge trimmer so I went and bought one over the weekend. Tried to assemble it last night and I just can’t. The screws that came with it are too big. I just don’t get it.
The gardener tried this morning and he also can’t do it. Will have to take the thing back. Such a waste of time.

Had a good 1:1 with my boss/manager/ceo yesterday in which I raised a concern over my “title” - I am employed as, and contract stipulates, senior UX designer but in the company organigram it shows me as lead.
Not that I care much for titles, I just don’t want it to shape or create unfair expectations. To which he said, let me know what you want it to be or what you prefer in that case.
… I didn’t know I could define my title, if it comes with the related pay can I be a UX Director?

Yep, have to do this too. Our alarm battery used to be able to last 9+ hours (gel battery), now if there is more than one segment of load shedding it doesn’t last 2hrs
