Silly question time: if I have X value and Y value, how do I determine the percentage difference?

Assuming you started with X and that value changed to Y, it’s ((Y / X) - 1) * 100.
F’r instance if your R100 in your savings account grew to R120, it’s
a) 120/100 = 1.2
b) 1.2 - 1 = 0.2
c) 0.2 * 100 = 20%
EDIT: Also, morning, everyone. I’m knackered and broken. Spent 7 hours in the car yesterday, part of which was in terrible Jhb afternoon traffic. People in Jhb really don’t know how to drive. Also hit a pothole between work and home, so had to replace a tyre in prep for going to Jhb.

Some people are poepols, some people are aggressive, and yes some really don’t know how to drive. Combine them all together and you have JHB traffic.
I’m driving to Rustenburg tomorrow, but thats a relatively nice drive once I get through all the traffic by Olifantsfontien road.

Throw in the hundreds of potholes and traffic lights not working (#ThanksEskom and rain!) and you have the perfect starting point for chaos and anarchy to reign on the Jozi roads.

That wasn’t the issue, the occasional aggressive tailgater or poephol is common all over the place. But if you’re on the highway at 17:00, and absolutely have to drive in the two right hand lanes because you want to go quick when the two left hand lanes are completely open, you are an imbecile. I overtook hundreds of cars by driving a leisurely 100 in the second lane, while the dumb dumb were crawling at 50-60 in the two right hand lanes. People in SA really need to learn the concept of keep left, pass on the right. Don’t chill in the overtaking lane.

I need to find a solution for our security guards though because there is no bathtub for them…

In Witbank we often don’t have water for a couple of hours, and sometimes the outages goes into days.
- Buy 5 liter jugs of drinking water at the shops. This works for coffee, drinking water, and flushing.
- Shower wherever you can find a working shower. I’ve bummed a shower or two at work before… At day 3 or so you start calling up friends to see if you can rent their showers. I even considered joing the gym just to go shower there. The horror.
