They can lock all the images etc. I just want to be able to edit the text.
they could also have just used that lorem ipsum dolor text to have populated our documents…but no.

We realised it is either a paintball gun (we have one neighbour who played paintball in their offices not so long ago who might still have it there) or a bb gun, someone chasing the geese and cats and guineafowl away.

this is not a practical signature if i dont have any employees who have started yet. This was communicated to her.

Jip and then i pissed her off as i took her newly designed logo and slapped it on a black back ground and added our web address next to it and told her i want a signature logo like this. and then she was like she doesnt agree with email signatures like this, they should be in HTML format etc.
thing is not everyone prints/downloads images in emails. so you want the signature to be plain text safe as well
did the same thing with her letterhead as well

Also we suspect its an airsoft pellet that did the damage, someone just came to tell the boss that there has been a certain attorney who has been practicing his airsoft in the complex after hours. . . .
They cant say it is a weedeater, we have pavement next to that window and no gravel…

Definitely not an actual paintball. It definitely would have left a splotch of paint. Maybe a nylon or practice solid, but not .68 calibre like most paintball markers.

Holy crap… So she sends you a static image for the signature, where you can’t copy/paste addresses or numbers, and then states they should be HTML format? Like what? an tag?
You can still do addresses/numbers in HTML format and not in an images.
Personally, “I don’t agree with” HTML in emails at all. If I had my way, they’d all be plaintext. Your email client can tag URLs/email addresses. But I can understand and accept that this is the standard these days, and even bold text in emails from time to time…
I’ll bet she also slaps an obnoxiously large image only signature on every single reply making going through threads of emails a complete nightmare.
Does this designer have a website? I could put in a request asking for some business cards and ask for their Ts & Cs first… Maybe she’d be more willing to share if she didn’t think she’s got me by the nuts…

Yes that is my whole issue with her. She did the same thing with the signatures for the current company i am working at as well. i have changed those as well.
They do have a website but dont worry yourself about getting the t’s and c’s. I have changed what I can. The company who is printing our business cards are changing those for me as we speak.
I changed the letterhead to how I wanted it and my boss is happy with it as well.
I wont be using her going forward.
