Same. In our area we have to use radio towers to get connected. The setup on my roof cost me R3k and I pay R600 a month for 5mbs. The monthly cost is pretty high. The setup is doable for a once off.

I should probably just read up more on this but meh, will rather ask here, do you think that connections to game servers in other countries will be more stable now? Since there is no land mass in the way anymore and i believe theoretically everyone, users and servers will be an equal distance away from each other no? Or am i completely misunderstanding something?

Interesting question, and I sort of think you’re correct. But I am definitely not the best person to be talking about the technicalities of it all.

Less that 3x the price for 10-30x speed increase? I understand R800 can be a budget breaker, but the price one pays for the service you’ll get seems like money well spent. Unless you can one day get fiber, of course…
