Only one red flag caused by flares.
Neanderthals.

Ai, Ferrari strikes again. Maybe they need a pitstop retreat. And they’ll sieke get a moerse fine as well.
Another one? No man wtf. Unsafe release is unsafe.
Ferrari wins the darwin award…
other than that before the race I was dozing off, with the VSC and SC I woke up again just to dose off with the podium again
Saving themselves for Monza next week!
Honestly, if Ferrari cock things up again next week, at home, in front of the Ferrari board and a hundred thousand Tifosi, I’d be surprised if Binotta and the team strategist are not “reallocated to alternative positions” very soon after.
This is such a good poster.
To celebrate their 75th anniversary, Ferrari are going to be sporting a shmexy once-off yellow accented livery and yellow driver race suits for the Italian GP.
Ooh, those will make for some nice desktop backgrounds. Was 1080p the highest res that they came in?
Smaak that Yellow Ferarri logo… don’t smaak the yellow background.
They are at 2672x1503 (?) on the official F1 site where I got them. Still haven’t figured out why the forum software here resizes images.
Here’s a direct link to one:

Check the gallery thing on the F1 article for the others. I just right-clicked > open image in new tab and got to the larger format pictures.
Awesome, thank you!
The rear wing should say Mabena instead of Ferrari so that us fans can set our expectations for this weekend accordingly
That looks much better than the awful GREEN tints they had at some point!
Welcome to Italy and Formula 1’s Temple of Speed. It’s Italian Grand Prix at Monza time! Forza! Located 20 kms north of Milan, on the northern edge of Monza, in Northern Italy, the Autodromo Nazionale Monza lies in the lush green serenity of the Parco di Monza. Serenity that the sound of screaming Formula 1 engines will soon be breaking.
This will be Round 16 of the 2022 Championship, and the final European grand prix before the F1 caravan decamps and moves through Asia, to the Americas, and finally to the Middle East for the final 6 races of what has turned into an excellent season of F1, despite the Verstappen and Red Bull domination. (I think F1 fans become conditioned to accept waves of domination for years at a time.)
The Circuit
Constructed in just 110 days in 1922, the Autodromo Nazionale Monza was the world’s third purpose-built race track, coming after Brooklands in the UK and Indianapolis in the US. Like those two tracks, the original circuit featured a daunting series of ≈30° banked curves.
Monza’s reputation as the F1 Temple of Speed is well deserved. The circuits combination of fast corners and long straights make it the ideal venue to push the F1 machines to their maximum.
Formula 1’s fastest ever lap was set at Monza – Williams driver Juan Pablo Montoya’s 260.6km/h effort during practice for the 2004 Grand Prix – which should give you some idea of the nature of the track the locals call ‘La Pista Magica’. Cars are on full throttle for 80% of the lap and hit their Vmax on the circuit’s 1.1km start/finish straight.
Here’s Alex Brundle doing Good Lap vs Great Lap by analysing footage and telemetry from team mates Pierre Gasly and Yuki Tsunoda in qualifying for the 2021 Italian Grand Prix.
The Schedule
Top class schedule planning from them there I-talianos! Where the clock work goes wrong is when we overlay those times with the times from our friends over at the national energy supplier - aka Eksdom. Hopefully load shedding today and over the weekend doesn’t impact on local F1 fans too badly.
The Weather
It’s the end of Summer in Northern Italy - what’s not to like? Sunny, hot, and dry on Race Day. Perfect weather for a motor race.
The News
Keep in touch with all the news out of Italy this weekend via the official F1 site.
The Programme
This weekend’s programme has that epic Monza 100 poster as it’s cover. Is nice, very nice!
Forza Ferrari! Smetti di inventare, inizia a vincere!
Time for Sir Lewis to show that it’s not all down to the car, and to race for Her Majesty from back to front!
Hamilton and Bottas confirmed to be taking new engines and back of the grid starts. Schumacher probable 10-place grid drop for a new gearbox, and Tsunoda also 10-place drop for racking up license penalty points after driving back to pits with loosened seat belts.
Expect more to take new components after today’s practice sessions. Going to be another mixed up starting grid on Sunday.
As we guessed, more penalties during and after FP1 - and some big one’s added to the Hamilton one. Max down 5 places, Sergio down 10 places, Carlos effectively the back of the grid just ahead of Lewis.
This weekend is falling into Chuck Leclerc’s lap. If he can handle the BMT at Monza under the gaze of the Tifosi (he has before) he’s sitting in the best position for a win on Sunday.
