The Official TV & TV Series Thread

Love it! No “slowly” through Season 2 for me - binged 4 episodes on Friday, the test yesterday :grinning:

Watched the first 3 episodes of Ted Lasso on Apple TV last night. I was planning to just put something on in the background to fall asleep but it immediately pulled me in and I couldn’t stop watching. Can’t wait for more episodes.

The premise sounds silly: an American football coach is hired to coach an English Premier League football (soccer) team. The show is more about the characters than the sport though and Jason Sudeikis is excellent as the lead and has a great supporting cast as well.

Out now on Netflix: High Score, a 6-part documentary series tracing the early history of video games. Slash Film called the series “one of the most sleek and satisfying historical accounts of the early decades of video games, even if it’s not a definitive, comprehensive account of the ups and downs of the industry as a whole.”

Started watching Cobra Kai on Netflix yesterday. I’ve heard about the show but never paid it any mind thinking it would be lame and not worth my time. Boy was I wrong. I’m already at episode 9 and I’ll finish both seasons before the week is out. One of the best TV shows I’ve seen in a while. Watch it if you haven’t.

Does this mean I can watch it my kids? If so great, I don’t trust the netflix age restrictions

Ted Lasso? No definitely not. Lots of swearing. Ted himself is wholesome AF though, but the Brits like their F bombs.

Cobra Kai I also wouldn’t recommend depending on the age of your kids. It has some violence and there is some light swearing as well.

I thought you were talking about Away.

Away - definitely could be kid-friendly - Can’t remember the ages of yours.
But then again just watched 2 episodes before it made me fall asleep - it is very slow-paced, no blood and I honestly can’t remember if there was swearing.

It deals more with the family dynamic in the first 2 episodes. But when I say slow - I mean SLOW. I really struggled to stay awake.

Is Raised by Wolves available anywhere locally? Or do I have to raise the Jolly Roger and sail off into the uncharted waters of Pirates Bay? Arrrr me hearties! :pirate_flag:
