The Official TV & TV Series Thread

We’ve just finished binging The Expanse, thanks to @Wyvern’s recommendation.

It plays like a Mass Effect prequel with strong Firefly vibes.

And now I want a new proper space opera to play :stuck_out_tongue:. Maybe I’ll just replay Mass Effect.

If you find one shout! I am looking as well!

Can’t wait for the Mando, also Star Trek Discovery started off well.

I blame the Expanse on @GregRedd

I tried reading the books but weirdly couldn’t get into it at all

I’ve now watched the first 2 episodes of the season (all that’s currently available) and it’s kicked off to an interesting start. Everything is in place now for whatever the major story arc will be this season. The new character is also pretty cool.

My wife discovered The Mentalist a couple of weeks ago. I watched the first two or three seasons when it originally aired, but never finished it, and it was a relief to see that its holding up quite well. Wife started season 4 last night.

Nice. I haven’t started yet. Will now maybe only start next week. It’s been a bit busy.

Really looking forward to it. Big fan of both chess and Anya Taylor-Joy.

And must still watch The Expanse too.

Yes Queen’s Gambit. I was highly skeptical after the first episode and then after the second but it developed into an amazing series.

It had me in tears a few times.

I binged Chasing the Sun on DStv. Wow, talk about a great documentary! Really cannot recommend it highly enough!!!

With all the talk over in TK about World War II stuff to watch, I thought it worth mentioning The Liberator as well. Was released on Netflix on Remembrance Day this week. Have only had enough time to catch the first episode so far which was very good. It’s only 4 ~45-minute episodes, so may be worth squeezing in over the weekend.

I love Queen’s Gambit so much.

It takes me back to when I was young and played in chess tournaments. I miss those days.

Anya is amazing in the role. Huge respect to her. She gained a fan here.

I’m watching Gold Rush again now that I’ve discovered its on again for a new season.

Watched all 4 episodes today, really good stuff. Great acting too. My wife was intrigued that I would cry over a war drama.

I cried at the end of Gladiator yesterday and I’ve cried during a few war dramas too. I’m not sure why, something deep within me resonates.

I’ve been playing watching Sons of Anarchy at work recently. Up to Season 6 now. I watched it before but only up to season 3 I think. It gets really intense.

Putting this here because it’s initial release will be as four one hour episodes in a miniseries. Referred to as Zack Snyder’s Justice League, this Director’s Cut version of the Justice League movie contains “dozens of additional scenes, backstories, mythos, worldbuilding elements, new characters, and teases for upcoming films present in Snyder’s version but not the theatrical release.” The 4 parts will also be combined and released as a single four-hour film.

Watched the very last Supernatural episode today. I cried, of course. Been watching it for 10 years.

I couldnt get into the show past season 5 - But I will watch the ending

I finished Sons of Anarchy and took a gamble on Queen’s Gambit as my next show and I’ve got about 20 minutes of the finale left.

Such a great series. I agree with you completely about Anya and it also reminds me of my chess playing days. I even installed a simple chess game on my phone.
