I watched season 1 of The Umbrella Academy. I liked it. Keen to see what happens in season 2. I generally dislike flashbacks (they interrupt flow) but they kinda worked here.
I’m currently busy with The Haunting of Bly Manor. Only one or two episodes left. I like it but it’s not as good as The Haunting of Hill House.
Agreed. Binged Hill House all the way through - loved it. Bly Manor I’ve watched the first 5 episodes last weekend, planned to finish it this past weekend, but didn’t really think about it at all again until your post. I’ll get round to it soon, as I do want to finish it, but no urgency.
We finished Community. It was a bit of a fizzle at the end, but we had fun. Once Troy and Abed was split up the show died for me.
Next I am going to watch The Boyz on Amazon. Sounds like a Watchmen series.
Community is one of my favourite series of all time. One of the few series that I watched more than once. It did fizzle at the end like you said though, which is a shame.
I enjoyed the first four seasons of Community, but I couldn’t make it past two or three episodes of season 5.
It has a lot to do with creator/showrunner Dan Harmon being fired from the show at the end of season 3. Season 4 performed so poorly that they rehired him for season 5 (hence the episode Repilot), but I think the damage was done. Also, agreed with @Oltman: Troy and Abed’s friendship was the soul of that show.
The Boys is brilliant - wife and I binged through season 2 in two days last week.
Started watching Too Old to Die Young. Being a Nicolas Winding Refn fan I can’t believe I didn’t know this has been out for a while already.
So far it’s starting off very slowly which is exactly what I expect from Refn. The cinematography and music is excellent as always as well.
A cool little thing about this series is that Hideo Kojima has a small cameo in it while Nicolas Winding Refn is a character in Death Stranding.
So, what’d you think?
Only watched the first episode so far. Too many willies so far but I like the premise!
Very little info about Resident Alien, but this 7 minute opening scene surfaced a week or two ago. Coming January 2021 to Bay via SyFy:
Here’s the original teaser trailer from early in the year, about the only other clip I can find:
I’m going to start watching the third season of Star Trek Discovery sometime this week.
Thanks for reminding me about it!
Added it to my list, but had no rush to watch it. Then saw that it’s Stephen King approved, so it’s moved up the “What to Watch Next” list.
Dude for me it was better than the Chicago seven
I loved it and binge watched it in a week by 2 episodes a night
