Any suggestions for a browser based torrent streamer that I can use on the old iPad when I want to watch that obscure Ukrainian copyright free Creative Commons art house movie that’s only available via a torrent file?

I think it’s excellent, but I may be a little biased as The Stand is one of my all time favorites, so I know the story well. The time skipping in the first couple of episodes is a little disconcerting at first, but I’m also really enjoying the different approach they’ve taken to establish the paths the main characters took to get where they are now. The production values are outstanding as well - no expense spared stuff.

I think its just me, I currently cant handle gore/blood and extremes. Im just not enjoying that.

But The Expanse. . . Goeie moer! It is amazing this season.

Absolutely, I am enjoying it too.

Yeah, The Stand is definitely not shy on the jarring kill count, rotting corpses and general gross out blood and gore factor. No shame in not enjoying that sort of thing for your visual entertainment.

So glad you are enjoying The Expanse though. I know it’s not Firefly and Steven Strait/James Holden is no Nathan Fillion/Malcolm Reynolds, but it does scratch that itch while we wait for the Firefly reboot

I still have to watch The Expanse. Haven’t even watched season 1 yet.

Watched 6 episodes of season 3 of Star Trek Discovery and then gave up. I love Star Trek. But not this.

Ah! I wish. Probably will get that before a Star Citizen release :stuck_out_tongue_winking_eye:

Interesting experiment I embarked on by mistake. Trying to see which do I prefer, the book first or the series first. I read all The expanse books a while back and now watching the series. Conversely I saw 2 seasons of A discovery of witches before I started reading the book.

In my opinion, in both cases, the books are far better. But then I am old school, so no surprise to myself there.

This seasons Star Trek was just not great, I enjoyed bits and pieces and especially Booker but that was about it.

Weirdly I struggled with the expanse books, but loved the discovery books. Im enjoying the expanse show so much more. I do love the fact that it has an ending coming up.

Agreed, it was not the best out of the Discovery series at all.

We have been watching the Office (US) on Netflix. The first season was terribly awkward and hard to get through, but it is getting so good now! We have somehow missed the Office bug the first time around…

Yup, when we watched it around 5 years ago, we binged all the episodes in a couple of weeks. And there are many!

Ok Frack the Expanse

Clifhanger of note

Sad episode in general, I understand why they did what they did but still

It is, and next season is slated to be the last one. At least according to Amazon. It’s not clear if Season 6 will cover the events of the sixth book (Babylon’s Ashes) or if it’ll cover the remaining books as well, I think it will probably only go to the end of the Babylon’s Ashes story line. In the books, there’s a pretty big time jump (~25 years I think) between Babylon’s Ashes and the next book, Persepolis Rising. If it does go to a new studio for seasons 7 - 9, there’d either need to be some handwavium or the existing main cast would need to be aged a fair bit.
