This is an idea I can get behind. Enforcing it is more difficult than an outright ban, though, and I think that despite what detractors have said, enforceability was one of the criteria for determining the lockdown rules.
Yes, you’ll have a few lawbreakers, like you always do, but it’s much easier to empower shops to just decline the sale of smokes entirely than have to deal with someone pleading to buy a pack of cigarettes every day even though they aren’t there to buy groceries.
(Speaking of lawbreakers, I saw staff at a local Food Lover’s Market selling cigarettes to clients over the counter. Their stock appeared to be severely limited, though. So much so that I overheard one guy saying “nah, just leave it” after the cashier rattled off the handful of brands they had left.)
I want to kick myself whenever I think of my last stop before lockdown Season 1 , the shop my brand in abundance and, not wanting to be a selfish tool as there were plenty of people behind me, didn’t take every single one of those packs. Now I’m stuck with any brand I can scrounge up.
Somehow by 9:30 last night I was out like a light, woke up at 12 ish to pee, got back into bed and slept till 10.
Feeling much more human today
We are hopeful that the router my brother is bringing today fixes the interwebs otherwise I give up. I also refuse to talk to cool ideas now because I cannot handle the level of stupid and the fact that they cannot update their logs after each call with a client.
Slept like shit last night.
Had a horrible nightmare wherein I was sleeping with my friends wife. She’s vicious life sucking bitch that I hate with a passion.
