V Rising - A Vampire Survival Experience

The game costs R130. I’ve already got my money’s worth in the short amount I’ve played. I don’t even like crafting/survival games but this has me hooked. Was planning on carrying on with Outward today but that’s not happening. V Rising has me in it’s grasp.

By the way I went to your castle last night and saw you lying there on the ground with the door open, I’m guessing you were logged out, but you need to be careful I think you can still get attacked by wild animals in there and then maybe lose the stuff you were holding. Best to keep the door closed or jump in your coffin.

Haha that explains why I was dead when I logged in this morning. Will be more careful for sure. I’m in the process of changing everything to castle walls and floors but thats still gonna take me a while.

Managed to build castle walls and floors and a stone coffin. Going to play a bit on my solo offline easier game. Struggling a bit with bosses and daytime :stuck_out_tongue:

I’m not a fan of how the horse controls. I keep getting stuck in the environment.

Can you guys expand more on the multiplayer aspect or is it just building your own safe houses on the same server?

You can form clans of up to 4 people and share resources, see each other on the map, etc.
You can work with other players to defeat bosses.

Having your own castle helps

I am really enjoying the game, the blood mechanic is well done and only met one farmer so far that did not want to kill me after I freed him from a cage, so I have had lots of the blood of the wicked on my hands

Pretty well designed game, must say.

Are you playing solo/offline? I made a character on the MEW server but also have a custom solo game going on with more relaxed settings (take less dmg etc.) I’ll probably mostly focus on the solo game as I’m not much of a MP fan. Although it is cool playing on a map with other people (when I know they won’t raid my castle and destroy everything).

EDIT: One big difference I’ve noticed with solo vs online is the progression of time. On a solo game time only progresses when you are actively playing the game. So if you for example want to create a servant you actually have to stay in the game for an hour and a half for them to be converted. If you quit the game it will pause the timer. Whereas with MP the world obviously goes on so you can start a timed quest and go do something else IRL and it will be done when you get back to the game . In that regard online is better.

Playing solo/offline. Contemplated doing all the settings to make it easier but ended up playing vanilla to see how hard it is. So far so good, 3 V blood bosses down. I do wish I had extended the stack limit on things when I started the game though, inventory limits are a pain.

Yeah my solo game I have set up custom rules but I overlooked the stack setting, regret it now. I already have 5 chests full of crap.

It’s my least favourite, I left him until I was way over his level.
