I can’t say I agree with that but to each their own. For me the combat is amazing. Feels much, much better than Lies of P IMO.
EDIT: Wait a minute. You’re talking about the 2014 Lords of the Fallen? I’m talking about the 2023 Lords of the Fallen that came out like 2 weeks ago. It’s super confusing that they soft rebooted the game and used exactly the same name, but it is what it is. I do agree that the 2014 one was not the greatest. The 2023 one is very different though, much faster and more responsive combat.
Good to know. I haven’t tried Lies of P either, but I’ll see to give either of them a shot sometime. I somewhat liked the idea of the story from Lords of the fallen if I remember correctly, so if the gameplay and combat is better, that might be worth a try then.
For now though, I’m finally done with Starfield so next weekend, it is Alan Wake 2.
Finished Tomb Raider(2013), now busy with Rise of the Tomb Raider, not doing 100% runs, but I might do it with the last one I plan to play: Shadow of the Tomb Raider.
After not playing Starfield in quite a while, I continued now and I just don’t feel like continuing. It’s a shame because I’ve spent quite a lot of hours in it. Don’t think I’ll ever actually finish it.
So now playing:
Erica - PS5
Diablo IV Season 2 - PC
Finished Alan Wake 2. Waiting for the DLC. The references to Control are clear throughout the game, although I think I’d have to reinterpret the ending of Control’s last DLC based on my playthrough of Alan Wake 2. But maybe I’ll replay Control sometime and see then.
For now, I’ve started up Assassin’s Creed Mirage. I’m hoping it isn’t as long a game as the previous ones, but I’m in the mood for a game like this.
Getting bored with Diablo IV season 2, its fun with friends but we don’t have time online often together. Contemplated buying Baldur’s Gate 3, even though it is not on special, but realised that I like the idea of turn based combat but it frustrates me usually in practice.
Instead I bought Icarus on special, a survival game with some interesting twists. Will see where it take me.
I do know that I am planning to play Avatar from Ubisoft when it releases on the 7th December. The price is steep (R1400) but playing it through their monthly club system (R350) should do it. I suspect I will finish it in 2 months, especially over the December holidays, which I am fully intending on staying home for
