After finishing a 73 hour run through of Avowed I am playing
Balatro - heard a lot of fuss over this indie game, so when it came to Game Pass I decided to check it out.
At first I didn’t get what all the fuss was about, now that I’ve played some more I’m starting to see the depth with all the combinations of effects.
It’s definitely got that “just one more go” quality of a roguelike. The presentation is pretty slick too. So not bad for short gaming bursts.
I got gifted Dave the Diver a while back, and started playing it this past weekend. Now I am hooked! Such a good little diving game, that is turning into far more than a little diving game!
I must give this a go sometime.
Such a gem of a game!
Reaching the end of the road in Moria, literally. Contemplating playing Once Human again. I quite enjoyed the game the last time I played. I read they are making it more casual friendly (seasons lasted 6 weeks and you had to play a LOT to actually experience it). Will play Last Epoch on a new season at the start of next month and then the POE2 next season after that.
Pouring a LOT of time into Once Human. The current season has these temperature survival mechanics PLUS for 15 minutes every hour a red moon fills the sky and things get very crazy and difficult.
Really good fun.
Bought RoboCop on steam spring sale, such a great game.
I’ve been playing this too, I love it!
They did an amazing job in capturing the look and feel of the movies.
Funny thing is, RoboCop was before my time so I have no real attachment to the IP and I am sure so many of the references are going straight over my head, however with that being said, I am still enjoying everything so far, even with all the references I am missing this is still just a great game, good combat and NPC interactions, game has very nice graphics, simple skill point system. So even without knowing the source material, it is just a good FPS story game.
Only thing I would have liked would have been the ability to manually save.
Can agree with everything you said, especially the manual saves!
I recently rewatched RoboCop 1, and the amount of detail they put into things like the character designs and the layout of the police precinct is just amazing.
The fact that it also works as a standalone game is testament to how good it is!
I finished the new Dragon Age in December and was thoroughly unimpressed. While I wasn’t too optimistic about the next Mass Effect game, I’m now more actively pessimistic about it given how this turned out. So I then started both Dragon Age 1 again to roughly see if the lore matches up. I must admit, the game is very dated though, but this is the first time I’m playing it with all its DLC.
At the same time, I started up Baldurs Gate 3 and that game seems to never end. It has been 3 months already. This is quite an adjustment to other RPG games that I’ve played in everything from story, combat to mechanics. I’m playing it with a trainer though to save time on bad rolls (not much of a gambler), but I’m actually enjoying pretty much everything about the game thus far and after 3 months, I’m still not tired of it.
I love everything about BG3 but the combat. I just can’t get it to click for me. People tell me to keep playing and I will eventually get. I have over 200 hours in the game and I’ve finished it twice, it’s never clicking for me But I am still eagerly awaiting the last big patch and I will most likely play it again when it’s out. Might use a trainer for god mode or something to get past combat. I wish someone would make a mod that lets you skip combat. I know it sounds crazy but I just wanna explore that world and find stuff and do quests and not be stuck doing combat I hate all the time.
I really want to do an origin character (not Durge) playthrough and make other choices. Both times I kinda went for the same thing but with slight variations.

It’s going to be mostly Shadows but I will break it up.
Yeah, the combat is something to get used to. However, since XCom, I’ve taken a liking in this style of turn-based games so I’m mostly fine with it.
I’ve seen the trailers for Robocop, but I was on the fence about it. I think some of these previous posts have pulled me off the fence so I’ll probably get it sometime. I’ve seen the movies from back in the day, but I was young so I’m not too concerned if it isn’t true to the story.
The weird thing is I love a lot of other turn based games. Xcom like you mentioned, Wasteland 3, Persona, Dragon Quest, Fire Emblem, Metaphor Refantazio etc.
It’s just BG3 (and Divnity OS) that doesn’t click for me. I dunno if it’s too involved and complicated or what but I just don’t enjoy it.
Yeah, I share the similar sentiments.
Oh, look, PUBG again… What a surprise!
Oh look, Factorio again
