I feel exactly the same. I haven’t gotten into any game recently, and end up toying with small indies, primarily launching on Game Pass. I’m currently playing Minishoot’ Adventures in short bursts to get my gaming fix. I wanted to get into the Avatar game, Star Wars Outlaws, KCD2, etc. but they all feel incredibly overwhelming to even just start up.

Diablo 2 and soon Diablo 4
Quake 2 RTX was an interesting experience. Have you tried the Quake 1 RTX mod, unofficial mod obviously? Looks incredible.
I must get that, i am looking for a black mesa rtx mod
I recently bought Doom The Dark Ages, installed it over the weekend and sat down yesterday evening to give it just a quick few minutes go…2 hours later
Damn, a game hasn’t grabbed my attention like this in a loooooong time. Its incredible, the game play, the look and feel, the atmosphere is just stunning.
This is what an id Software game should be like.
I finished Resi 9, what a superb game! There’s a sheen of quality that’s there from start to finish.
I couldn’t get enough, and already went back for another playthrough.
That said, I am going to mix in some other games too.
Went back to 9 Sols and I’m having a good time with it. The combat is tough but gets more manageable the more I play.
I was playing around with Wreckfest and remembered Flatout, saw that I had Flatout Ultimate Carnage Collectors Edition…
Damn this game is fun, we used to play it soooooo much at LANs and one of the few arcade racing games that I completed. (Split Second, Wreckfest 1 and the first couple of Flatouts)
Its so much fun, doesnt look the best after all these years, but damn, great gameplay and great music, WIN!

Dragon Quest 7 Reimagined
Mostly still busy with KCD2 but I’m keen on Starfield once the new patch and new DLC drops so I’m starting to slowly get back into the groove.
I finished Metal Gear Solid Delta.
It felt slightly old (despite the remake), but I think that is just due to the acting and maybe the way the area transition. On the other hand, given that they used the original voice acting and everything, I think it somewhat shows how far ahead of its time the original game was.
I really do hope they remake the first two games, but more to the level of MGS 5.
Then I started Death Stranding again. I know I originally said that the game isn’t really replayable due to the massive reveals in it that you simply just can’t experience again like it’s the first time. However,
- Death Stranding 2 was released on PC, so I want to refresh my memory and get into the gameplay before starting the new one, and
- I have a short memory

Finally finished Shin Megami Tensei V, started on Persona 3 Reloaded now, going on hard mode since Persona’s are usually much easier than the SMT main franchise.
Saves are a little more forgiving than on the original and FES, but not nearly as forgiving as SMT V. With my PS4 having regular crashes, this is becoming troublesome though.
I am on leave next week, staying home and was really needing something new to play. Got me Crimson Desert. Will see how I like it, the reviews are all over the scale.
9 Hours into Crimson Desert, I am leaning towards the positive side. It is truly an open world sandbox experience with so much to do.
And I think this is why it receives more negative feedback than it deserves, people have gone in with the wrong expectation, or simply a different expectation to what they wanted/thought.
Similar to why a lot of people don’t understand Elite: Dangerous, it’s like some groups of people don’t understand what a true sandbox game implies—make your own experience.

NFS Shift 2
Got back into this after a few years, This game is holding up much better than expected, its still looking pretty damn good for a title from. 2011, and i initially didnt like the handling back then but after playing some newer titles, i actually appreciate the handling model of shift 2 now
Now you got my keen to try Shift 2 again! I’ve been a bit jaded with modern racing games.
I was gifted a copy of TMNT: Splintered Fate.
It’s such a fun and colourful little game. Basically a rougulite TMNT. Cowabunga!
“Finished” Carmageddon: Rogue Shift. There are apparently still some unlocks left according to the stats menu, but I have unlocked everything available to me, so maybe they will implement something in the future, which is something they have done in the past.
State of Decay 2 was on special for like R57 so I got that, this game series is definitely my favorite zombie survival base building games ever, so good, except for the Heartland DLC, where special infected can spawn in your base whilst you are out, and kill your other survivors, and there is nothing you can do about it. Base game though, really good, can’t wait to play more, and if anyone wants to co-op it, let me know ![]()
